A well-named house.

Beautiful mansion nestled in the heart of a large shaded garden where you are welcomed for breakfast. The rooms are large, comfortable bedding and a small fridge can quench your thirst. You will be welcomed like friends by the owners who have obviously chosen the place for its tranquility.

The dog and Daniel are nice but…

It is a beautiful mansion with a pretty garden, soberly decorated rooms. Daniel warmly welcomed us with his very friendly dog. On the other hand, the flow goes less well with Maï. It sounds wrong, it's sometimes a little aggressive, rarely smooth and never pleasant. In short, we avoid interactions, which is a shame. Breakfast in the garden is pleasant. Toasted bread, fresh fruit, croissant and homemade yogurt.

A charming place

Located in Salin de Giraud, a cosy, quiet and full of history village in the heart of Camargue, this ancient house, perfectly restored and decorated by the owners, is all you can dream for a break in this lovely part of France. The charming house have four rooms in total, two with private bathrooms and two with a shared bathroom: we choose these lasts as we were a group of four friends. The rooms were very spacious, comfortable, elegantly decorated and absolutely clean as well as the bathroom. Every room was equipped with tea and coffee facility, mini-fridge, mosquito net at the windows (very necessary in Camargue!) and white, very warming and chic “lin français” sheets. The house is surrounded by a large park full of flowers and with different types of old trees. In this green space, every morning a delicious breakfast was served under the trees: french cheeses, fresh fruit, yoghurt, freshly baked bread and croissants, home made jams, fresh juice and hot beverage (coffee, tea, cappuccino, chocolate). The house is situated very close to local restaurants and a “boulangerie” ,where you can find delicious sandwiches and pastries for your pic nic. Mäi and Daniel are lovely people. They were very helpful, gave us suggestions about restaurants, events and places to be visited, and they treated us more like friends than like guests. The relationship quality price is very good. I absolutely recommend Un Nid En Camargue and I hope to come back soon there!

Disappointing

The house was fairly typical for the Provence/Camargue: old and rural, kind of romantic, slightly creepy (toilet in the shared bathroom has a constantly open window you can't really close by yourself, so it always feels like anyone on the street could see you); a nice house generally, not outstanding though. There's nicer houses with pools in the neighbourhood, but we needed 4 rooms and so we were limited in our choice.
ONE of the hosts was kind to us, the other couldn't hide her displeasure about us at all, which made for an awful general feeling.
Breakfast was ok. You get cheese which is nice among all the usually sweet stuff. Self-made joghurt.
Rooms & bath were not cleaned at all, towels not changed, even though we stayed several nights.
No further amenities, no common room to spend some time together when traveling with other people. There's no equipment to borrow for the beach like beach towels or umbrellas, though we could kindly borrow the couple's personal umbrella once. After becoming unwelcome though we didn't dare to ask again: There was a small harmless misunderstanding where we thought the breakfast room is also the common room, for which the hostess made us feel unwelcome the rest of our stay, just because we quietly played some cards there. We were treated and scolded like children on a school trip even though we're all grownups in our 30s.
Basically unless you like to sit in your room doing nothing in silence, you will probably be considered a disturbance and looked down upon. It's like visiting distant relatives with ridiculous house rules.
Everything halfway interesting is far away. You have to take a ferry or drive like 40 min to the next town to go shopping, get money (because they only take cash, ridiculous!), or have some better choices of restaurants. You get ferry passes from the hosts so you can at least pass for free, but still it will cost you some waiting time.
It felt like they do as little as possible for as much money as possible, like the whole concept of this b&b is just to make them unfairly high amounts of money, compared to what you get. Feels unpersonal, very disappointing, ruined our holiday. I would have loved to give this house more points, but when you are personally talked down to like that and 7 people leave on the last day as early as possible because we all were just so relieved to leave that place, then it doesn't deserve more than 1 point.

Clean B&B but not in the idyllic environment that was promised

Very clean old mansion.
We were disappointed by finding that there is a salt factory located at 100M from the B&B that produces 24/24, meaning there is no way to sleep with the Windows open due to the noise the factory produces. Not what we expected to find in the Camargue and not mentioned on the website.....disappointing
Breakfast was nice
