Clean but pricey for what you get
We stayed here for a few hours while travelling and, unfortunately, the room was extremely basic and very dated. The décor felt like it had not been updated for decades, the mattresses were very old and uncomfortable, and the bathroom looked like it was straight out of the 1980s.
The room was also quite poorly equipped — there was only one power socket, which is far from ideal when travelling with phones and other devices. Overall, the atmosphere was a little creepy and not particularly welcoming.
On the positive side, the location is very convenient if you are travelling by car, as it is close to the motorway, and the room was clean.
If you simply need somewhere to sleep for a few hours and continue your journey, as we did, it is acceptable if you cannot find anything else. However, it is very expensive for the quality and standard of accommodation offered.
In short: convenient and clean, but extremely dated, uncomfortable and overpriced.

A reasonable stopover
We did have dinner in the restaurant attached; it is a fairly limited menu, but again, suitable for the purpose. It was incredibly quiet when we stayed on a Tuesday evening, such that while we were there, there was only one other couple dining. Nevertheless, we were fed and watered ready for our onward journey.
I'm not sure I'd have wanted to stay here for an extended stay, but it was fine as a stopover.
