As a group of four motorcyclists from the UK, we enjoyed a wonderful overnight stay at Manoir de Jouralem. This beautiful, character-filled property has been renovated to an impeccable standard by the host, Hywel, whose remarkable attention to detail is evident throughout. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed with a champagne reception, followed by further drinks by the pool. The guest rooms are elegantly appointed, featuring crisp, high-quality cotton bed linen, premium towels, a cooling fan, a well-stocked mini-fridge, and a very spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower. The evening meal, prepared and served by Hywel, was exceptional. It easily surpassed any other dining experience during our seven-day tour along the west coast of France.
An extremely well deserved thank you to Hywel and Mel for making our stay so memorable.

This place is PERFECT!
We could only stay one night, We wished it could be longer. The rooms and property are beyond expectations. It was such a beautiful place to spend our tour of France for our Honeymoon even if was brief. The rooms are well presented, the pillows and bed were like a cloud. I cannot fault any of it.
The hosts are super sweet and extremely polite and accommodating. They even helped us book a beautiful restaurant for dinner. With again was perfect!
Make sure you stay here, you will not be disappointed. We've already started planning our return trip, this time longer than one night

A fantastic time in a wonderful place.

We had the great pleasure to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Wedding anniversary to spend a few days at the Manoir. It was a wonderful stay where everything was right: the quiet location; the “royal room”; the stylish rooms furnished with great attention to detail; the beautiful garden and terrace by the pool; the delicious breakfast for a successful start to the day. All this deserves 5 points alone! Unfortunately, I can't do a 6. Point awarded – because our hostess Mel deserved it. She helped us book a balloon ride; served a late breakfast by the pool after the flight; organized a table for us in a fine restaurant in Saumur; gave us valuable tips for excursions in the area; was there for any question and gave us an unforgettable time with her friendly nature. Unfortunately, we could not get to know Mel's husband's cooking - good improvement for him. But it was still just fantastically beautiful, thank you for this great time.

Stunning ancient stone manor in the angevin countryside, beautifully restored. Our bedroom (Le Roi) - one of four - was huge, and the attention to detail and comfort was outstanding. Hosts Mel and Hywel are charming and efficient. Dinner (three courses including wine, no choice but not intimidating) was delicious; breakfast was exemplary. We will happily go back.

Beautiful and idyllic place to stay

Wonderful 3 night stay in this beautiful historic Manior . Such a lovely welcome by Howell to this amazing property with its immaculate and tastefully designed rooms. The breakfasts were wonderful only to be surpassed by the evening meal cooked by Howell himself who looked after the guests so well. The local wines provided were an excellent accompaniment. This is an experience not to be missed. Highly recommended.
