Here you feel welcome as a guest

We were here 15 years ago and are as excited again as the last visit. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you will find it here, the park with various seating, the petanque place and the sculptures offer the opportunity for everyone to relax.

To avoid

Very disappointed. The portions are small, and the glass of wine is filled very, very little. Scrambled eggs are charged at €2 each, which is a shame for a 5-star establishment. A spirit of stinginess prevails within this establishment.

Once upon a time, this must have been a wonderful hotel, but it is no longer close to a five-star standard. The rating must have been granted long ago and clearly has not been reassessed recently. There is an overriding sense that the property is cutting every corner to manage costs, and it is evident that their focus is on the restaurant and local clientele rather than their overnight guests.
While the bed and linens were excellent, the room itself was in dire need of renovation. The layout was awkward, poorly lit, and there were cobwebs. The furniture was neglected, watermarked, and faded—a far cry from the 'charming antiques' they pretended to be, looking instead like castoffs from a flea market. The bathroom was outdated and suffered from poor drainage.
The surrounding grounds, which could be spectacular, are in desperate need of maintenance, with much of the outdoor furniture either weathered or broken.
While the dinner was excellent, the main course portion was comically sparse. On our first night, we were relegated to a secondary room lacking any ambiance, rather than being seated in the beautiful conservatory dining room. This first-impression experience discouraged us from returning to dine for the remainder of our stay.

Food trap

Large beautiful room. Hot water problems. Noise from a radiator. Good service. Dinner food not at all on par with the description. Heavily overpraised. Cheap breakfast.

A pleasant weekend

Hotel adjoining the abbey of the same name, very quiet in this season. Very nice welcome, spacious but poorly lit room, we are told that it is to save money, which can get along. On the other hand, it is completely aberrant and scandalous to have to run the water for 5 minutes to access the hot water.
As part of the savings mentioned, it would be good to review the hot water distribution system!
Decent breakfast, although it is surprising for a 5-star to have to add an extra fee to have salt.
Very good meal, hearty and well cooked, the lamb is a pure delight.

Nous vous remercions d’avoir pris le temps de partager votre expérience à l’Abbaye de La Celle. Nous sommes ravis que le calme des lieux, l’accueil de notre équipe ainsi que la qualité de votre dîner – et notamment de l’agneau – aient contribué à la réussite de votre séjour.
Nous prenons en revanche très au sérieux vos remarques concernant l’éclairage de votre chambre et surtout le temps nécessaire pour obtenir de l’eau chaude. Nous comprenons que cela ait pu être légèrement inconfortable. Nous remontons immédiatement l'information à notre service technique afin d’améliorer ce point.
Concernant le petit-déjeuner, il est vrai que notre offre salée est proposée en supplément, afin de laisser à nos hôtes la possibilité de composer leur expérience selon leurs envies. Nous regrettons que cela vous ait surpris.
Nous serions très heureux de vous accueillir de nouveau afin de vous offrir une expérience pleinement satisfaisante.
