Really well positioned hotel for exploring Chartres. Clean with friendly staff. No bar, which was a shame as a drink onsite would have been great especially as the patron of the Irish Bar next door was a grumpy b@$7@?d. Also, the A/C in our room was useless.

Only the location is good; for the rest, move along.
Our first and last reservation with the B&B chain: huge disappointment!
Rated 3 stars, we are still looking for them...
The location remains the only positive point of this hotel.
At the reception, there is a gentleman who does not seem comfortable at the front desk and knows very little about the hotel rules and this establishment.
We are 4 adults divided into 2 rooms and arrived around 3:30 PM; the elevator being limited, I chose the stairs indicated by an arrow on a sign near the elevator: impossible to find! I find myself outside the establishment heading to the parking lot. I enter again through the reception, and the receptionist tells me that the stairs are located in the opposite direction towards the breakfast room! I point out the sign to him, and his response is: well, this is nonsense!
We take possession of our rooms. One of the two is not done (bed in disarray, bathroom not cleaned, dirty toilets: see attached photos) I go back down to inform the receptionist, who seems overwhelmed and responds: well, that's not normal! I reply to him: I don't need to tell you that! Finally, after some thought, he agrees to give us another room. In the room that was ready upon our arrival, we found on the floor (so a superficial cleaning) a toy figurine of a rhinoceros and a sheep (this one was dust, see attached photo), furthermore, the toilet seat was broken/detached on one side, making it very uncomfortable (see attached photo), and the flush worked very poorly and did not allow for proper evacuation: I spared you the photos ;-)
The next day at breakfast, for the setup and service, it was a young man who clearly was not in his element either...
No small spoons for the yogurts, only soup spoons! Lack of towels! And when the requests and information come back to him, he responds at a rate of two per hour and definitely not all at once; he seems to have only one hand or does not know how to use the second one... the scrambled eggs are disgusting; I later understood when he restocked: it was microwaveable trays that he dumped into the pot! For a three-star hotel, I find this more than borderline!
After breakfast, upon our return to the room, an empty bottle of wine was sitting on the floor next to the elevator! The housekeeper (whom we did not encounter) had taken out the carts from the laundry, which had been left open. (See photo) upon our departure, the carts had disappeared, the laundry door was still open, and the bottle was still on the floor next to the elevator! I understand that this is certainly an incivility from a guest, but wasn't it possible to put this bottle in the laundry and take it down later rather than leaving it right next to the elevator?
I forgot to mention that the hotel has a private underground parking lot (which is quite a good point and influenced our choice for this hotel), except that some boxes are individual and very tight, making it impossible to get out of your car once parked due to the walls on either side (too bad I forgot to take a photo!)
In short, a total disappointment

Catastrophic
The entire hotel is in a state that requires significant renovation. The staff does not speak English and has no solutions for legitimate complaints. The doors do not close properly, the entire hotel is dirty, and the room was so small that I could hardly open my suitcase. The curtain is hanging down, the furniture is severely damaged, and the bathroom is disgusting. The breakfast is sparse and of poor quality.

Terrible experience
A disastrous experience. No type of customer assistance from the staff who tend to be uninterested in the problems presented, offloading them onto someone else. As soon as we arrived (room 107 on 07/05/2026) I reported that the air conditioner in the room is not working and that the thermostat does not allow the temperature to be adjusted because it is apparently broken. It is a very hot July. They assure me that the air conditioner is locked and that it will be reset and in an hour the temperature in the room will be pleasant. Returned from dinner (over 2 hours later) the temperature in the room is still high and the air conditioner is inefficient. The problem is that they are perfectly aware that in some rooms the air conditioner does not work but they have no qualms about assigning them to guests anyway, not caring about their well-being and assuring them anyway that it would have worked. It is also impossible to get assigned a different room with an efficient air conditioner. Either this or you go look for another hotel. They even offer you a fan. A real rip-off. If you can, go elsewhere.

The hotel rooms smelled awful and were not cleaned well. The room was poorly maintained.
Breakfast was terrible with no service, no plates, nothing.
