Beautiful discovery
Perfect location! Welcoming was top, with all the necessary recommendations to be able to park!
Room very clean and located opposite the cathedral.
The breakfast very complete and hearty. Service was perfect. Very thoughtful.

Pass your way
We booked 2 nights from September 4 to 6 on August 21, 2025. A deposit of 98.70 € was charged to us.
As a cancellation is possible notes on the site and taking into account health problems, occurred.
We cancelled on August 23rd. By phone and on the contact page.
Without any answer and to date no refund.
The least of the courtesy would be to respond to our reminders!
And honesty would like a refund of the deposit to be made!

Excellent in every respect
Our stay in the hotel was just perfect: the rooms were beautiful, the breakfasts were hearty and delicious and the location at the foot of the cathedral is ideal for visiting the city on foot.
And besides, the owner is extremely friendly. If we pass by again, we will certainly return to the Forecourt!

Le Parvis was wonderful!
My son and I loved our stay at Le Parvis. Our room, Les Angles, was as lovely as the pictures on booking.com. The whirlpool tub was a bonus I wasn’t aware of! We had closeup view of cathedral and were only steps away. The light show was magnificent! Franciscus was a lovely and friendly host!

Addendum to an earlier review
For the record I add the further information to my initial review made at the beginning of September given the response made by Le Parvis. I cannot let the inaccuracies in the response go without comment.
1. As normal for all travellers we anticipate provision of clean bed linen. However, as my wife does have a medical issue bed clean linen and mattress is essential and therefore the reason for a personal inspection. It was a straightforward inspection; the sheets were not thrown back in amber or malice.
2. We were not at all annoyed that we were delayed by le petit train, quite the opposite. The written instructions given by Le Parvis at the time of booking for access by car and carriage of luggage were quite explicit and emphasised in capital letters. We were directed to a road which would need us to make contact at the entrance via a push button on a pole at the side of the road. The instructions stated that someone would answer and we were to inform him that we were booked in at Le Parvis and he would come and collect our luggage and advise where to park our car. We tried to make contact but without success until after about 15 minutes le petit train pulled up behind. I was unable to proceed down the road as we were prevented by a rising bollard. The driver of the train was enormously helpful and enabled me to follow him in close proximity to avoid the bollard rising into my car. He manoeuvred his vehicle to assist and at the end of the private road stopped is vehicle to direct me to Le Parvis and identified a spot where a maybe could leave my car for a moment or two notwithstanding the parking restrictions.
3. I was undoubtedly annoyed that I could not make contact with the “agent”of Le Parvis despite following the explicit instructions provided by Le Parvis. Moreover, I was annoyed that I had been placed in an embarrassing position in front of le petit train full of passengers who witnessed the whole farce at the start to and end of their journey down the restricted road.
4. The situation was not helped when we eventually arrived at Le Parvis, with our car parked in a restricted area, to find no one in attendance and a note pinned to the hotel door advising to make contact by telephone.
5. Both I and my wife were very unhappy with the situation but neither of us were abusive, shouting or threatening. In fact, the proprietor in attendance (the son) was livid because my wife in his eyes had the audacity to check the bedroom and in particular the bed. It was my wife who felt threatened and felt she should call the police. My wife is just over 5feet tall, I am of slight build and we’re both in our late seventies; hardly threatening.

INCROYABLE !!!!!!!!!!!! de voir des clients aussi énervés à notre égard à peine arrivés chez nous !!!!!! Avouez que cela peut surprendre. En fait, les moyens d’accès à notre maison ne vous convenez pas. Vous avez quand même réussi à bloquer à deux reprises le petit train touristique de Chartres et c’est le conducteur qui a dû vous aider pour pouvoir avancer avec son train. Votre commentaire : « j’étais agacé d’avoir été placé dans une position embarrassante devant le petit train rempli de passagers qui ont assisté à toute la farce au début et à la fin de leur voyage ». Oui, les passagers ont certainement bien rigolé. Je peux comprendre que vous ayez été vexés de faire le spectacle mais nous sommes pour rien dans le fait que vous ne sachiez pas utiliser toutes nos consignes à la lettre afin de vous éviter ces déboires et nous ne sommes pas responsables des difficultés que vous avez à conduire en centre-ville historique. Pour vous, il aurait été plus judicieux de réserver dans un hôtel en périphérie de la ville. Vous arrivez donc très énervés chez nous et vous commencez par demander un remboursement de votre réservation sans même voir la chambre. Nous sommes au pied de la Cathédrale de CHARTRES. Bien sûr il est aisé de penser qu’il y aurait surement quelques contraintes d’où nos messages communiqués la vieille de votre arrivée pour vous faciliter l’accès. Nous vous aidons dès votre arrivée à vous stationner et nous prenons en charge les frais de parking pour tous nos clients . Toujours embué par votre énervement vous demandez encore et toujours le remboursement de votre chambre (ceci ne correspond pas au contrat que vous avez contracte par l’intermédiaire de booking) Bref !!!!!........ Enfin votre épouse Mme Hughes demande à voir la chambre. Elle entre dans celle-ci en présence de mon fils qui comme à son habitude commence à expliquer le fonctionnement mais rapidement dans un élan de nervosité, Il la voit se diriger vers le lit. (Parfois un client peut regarder discrètement et délicatement pour constater la propreté des draps mais la propreté est indiqué dans les commentaires des clients et le linge des chambres est nettoyé par une blanchisserie qui je pense connait son travail ,nous travaillons avec eux depuis plus de 40 ans) Elle commence par arracher les draps, housse ,couette et alèse sans en expliquer la raison « agissement » plutôt curieux et surprenant donc mon fils lui demande fermement de cesser immédiatement. (Nous avons déposé sur le site de Booking.com, les photos du lit qu’elle a défait entièrement). Et si c’était comme vous le dites pour une raison de santé il y avait une manière plus intelligente et délicate d’agir : - poser la question lors de la réservation ou en parler dès l’arrivée mais pour cela il aurait fallu que vous soyez calmes tous les deux. Mon fils inquiet par ces attitudes surprenantes me passe au téléphone Mr Hughes impossible de discuter, le remboursement était l’obsession, je lui ai précisé que son épouse et lui-même étaient des gens dangereux et qu’il était hors de question que je les rembourse (j’ai également à disposition l’enregistrement de la conversation que j’ai eu avec Mr Hughes) Mme Hughes commence à prendre des photos de mon fils qui lui demande de cesser ces prises de vues. Je trouve que mon fils a eu un comportement admirable à leur égard compte tenu de leur comportement, je n’aurais certainement pas eu autant de patience. Vous parler d’appeler la Police mais je crois que vous inverser un peu les rôles. Devant des gens comme vous nous aurions dû faire constater par un huissier. je vous conseille de consulter les autres avis de nos clients qui sont pour la majorité très élogieux.
