A pleasant stay in this establishment near the sea. The warm welcome at the reception, the room with a small view of the ocean offer a pleasant awakening. However, the common kitchen area is not satisfactory. Located in the basement, it gives off a strong smell of humidity, is very dark (need to turn on the light in broad daylight) and has no heating. Although the kitchen is not the main purpose of the stay, it is unfortunate to highlight such a space which diminishes the overall positive experience of the hotel. Despite this, I plan to come back to enjoy the sea air at Pouldu and the surrounding restaurants which are all accessible and quality.

Nous comprenons parfaitement votre déception. Être randonneur sans voiture demande une logistique précise, et l'absence d'accès à la salle commune a dû compliquer votre séjour.
Pour vous expliquer le contexte : nous avons dû fermer cet espace en urgence pour des travaux de sécurité incendie. C'était un cas de force majeure pour garantir la protection de tous. Ces travaux sont désormais achevés et l'espace commun est rouvert.
Nous prenons également très au sérieux votre remarque sur l'amabilité du personnel. Soyez assuré que nous avons pris les mesures nécessaires et que nous allons sensibiliser notre équipe pour garantir un accueil bienveillant à l'avenir.

Overall made very unpleasant and stressful because of the staff.
I booked a stay at your hotel from June 14th to June 16th. My partner and I expected to arrive before 8 PM, but our flight was delayed by over an hour, making this impossible.
The day before our arrival, I received an email stating that check-in was not possible after 8 PM. As soon as I arrived at Nantes airport, I emailed the hotel to inform them of the flight delay, but all I received in return was a firm refusal, stating it was impossible to check in after 8 PM. Despite asking if they could leave the key with a trusted person or neighbor, there was no willingness to help or find a solution. I desperately tried calling the hotel, but my calls went unanswered, and the booking was non-refundable.
This situation was frustrating and stressful as we had no other booking. I called a friend who was staying close to the hotel, and he informed me that his mother, who was staying at the same hotel for the same event, managed to persuade the receptionist to leave our key with her. If his mother hadn’t been there, we would have had no place to stay for the night.
Upon arrival, we found our room unsatisfactory. The pillows were small and uncomfortable, as shown in the attached picture. Additionally, our room wasn’t cleaned, and no service was provided during our stay. The next day, I requested additional pillows but was rudely denied by the receptionist, who showed no willingness to help or find a solution. Additionally, the receptionist objected to me taking breakfast to our room because my partner was unwell, insisting I remove the food from the tray.
Throughout our stay, we experienced unprofessional behavior and hostility from the staff. Funny enough I was informed that I could leave the room key on the counter for checkout but how come it was not possible for them to do it for my check in. Showing either laziness or unwillingness to help.
This inconsistency in service was unacceptable. Adding to our discontent, the alarm went off before 10 AM on the day of our checkout, with no explanation or apology from the staff.
Overall, this stay was highly disappointing, and I recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs.

Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié l'emplacement de l'hôtel.
Pour le reste, alors que l 'hôtel était complet sur ce week-end , seul votre groupe d'amis a été insatisfait et s'est montré désagréable avant et pendant le séjour. Nous n'avons jamais reçu d'appels de votre part, uniquement un message via l'application booking, nous informant que vous n'arriveriez pas avant 20h. La réservation n'étant ni soldée ni garantie par une carte bancaire , nous vous avons effectivement précisé que la réception était fermée après 20h. A aucun moment vous n'avez demandé à ce que nous laissions la clé à un voisin ou à une personne de confiance. Nous avons compris que d'autres personnes vous connaissant séjournaient dans l'établissement quand une cliente s'est présentée et a demandé à récupérer votre clé. Nous sommes certain que vous puissiez comprendre que nous ne remettons pas de clés sans que la réservation ne soit garantie ou réglée et encore moins à une personne n' étant pas réservataire de la chambre.
Cependant , la dite personne ayant acceptée de nous laisser une empreinte bancaire , nous lui avons sans soucis confié votre clé , vous avez donc pu jouir de votre chambre sans problème et il n'y a donc pas lieu à polémique sur ce sujet.
Concernant les oreillers, nous vous avons simplement répondu que nous n'avions pas d'oreillers supplémentaires à vous fournir et si tel avaient été le cas , ils auraient été identiques et ne vous auraient donc pas satisfaits.
Pour le petit déjeuner, vous êtes descendu à 10h , alors que le petit déjeuner était terminé, vous vous êtes servi et lorsque vous avez voulu repartir avec le plateau dans votre chambre, je vous ai précisé , sans agressivité aucune, que celui-ci devait être consommé dans la salle de petit-déjeuner et non en chambre pour des raisons d'hygiène. A aucun moment vous ne m'avez parlé d'un problème de santé concernant votre partenaire , ce qui aurait peut-être évité cette nouvelle problématique.
En effet, lors du départ, s'il n'y a personne en réception, nous demandons à ce que la clé soit laissée sur le comptoir mais la chambre est déjà réglée, ce qui fait toute la différence avec l'arrivée.
Enfin, concernant l'alarme incendie, celle-ci fait son travail et nous n'en avons pas le contrôle et s'il y avait eu un réel départ de feu et qu'elle n'ait pas sonnée , vous auriez râlé également puisqu'avant même d'être arrivé vous étiez déjà insatisfait. En revanche, nous sommes étonnés, que malgré l'alarme incendie vous soyez resté dans votre chambre alors qu'il convient normalement d'évacuer et que si tel avait été le cas, vous auriez été informé que c'était une fausse alerte.

An almost perfect stay
We have been trying to leave a review on Google for several days without success.
This is our second getaway to this great hotel found by chance. He charmed us from the first time (beginning of March) thanks to the adorable welcome we received and we came back with joy.
The setting is superb and the location is excellent - with the sea just a stone's throw away. The breakfast is varied as you wish: pastries, pancakes, yogurts, compotes, cereals, cheeses (the brie is divine), including ham and various breads, not forgetting a spread to die for and what's more as there were few of us, we were served at the table for resupplies.
The rooms are spacious with a view of the sea. There is solid soap which smells good and lathers well.
Just two small downsides: the windows of room 11 let water through on rainy days and the parquet floor is therefore warped. We reported this and were immediately offered to change rooms but we opted for a towel on the floor to avoid moving.
And we noted the same problem with the windows in the breakfast area. It would be great to plan repairs so that everything is perfect.

A hell of an adventure...
A bit by chance, we stayed in Naeco for several nights after the storm, as our house had suffered significant damage. We might as well tell you that morale was not there. But over time, thanks to the quality of the accommodation (cleanliness of the place, warm atmosphere, feast at breakfast) and the kindness of the managers, we felt almost at home. It was a very special moment. At Elsa and Matthieu's, it's not just a hotel but a little corner of Paradise, a place of welcome, an inn. And I put as many stars on them as there are in the sky.
