Beautiful address!!

We had a great time at the Hotel-Restaurant in La Rivière.
The setting is warm and very neat, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a good meal. The cuisine is refined, generous and truly highlights local products – each plate is a treat for both the eyes and the taste buds.
Service is impeccable: Welcoming is smiling, attentive and professional, with nice explanations about the dishes and wines. We feel that the whole team is committed to please its customers.
An address where you want to come back, whether as a couple, with friends or family. I highly recommend!

Very disappointing!!!

We returned from a weekend at the Hotel La Rivière really very disappointing. To begin Welcoming not very warm. Then jaccuzi not very clean, the water was barely hot and massage nozzles half walked. The sauna and steam room were off so it was up to us to turn them on and wait for them to get hot. So for a while. Then dinner, no one not very friendly. I had dirt in my salad. I mentioned it, but it's like I didn't say anything.
My husband had a problem with his phone charger. He therefore asked if it was possible to help him but no reaction. And finally, I just realized that we were counted a coffee when we didn't have one.
It's a shame we've been to this hotel twice and nothing wrong.

Opinion about our stay on August 11, 2025
We were very well received upon arrival by an extremely kind gentleman, which made our facility pleasant. The room was okay, but it’s a shame it’s not air conditioned. With the heat, it was difficult, fortunately a fan was made available to us.
On the other hand, big disappointment regarding the restaurant part. Welcoming the room manager was cold, borderline unpleasant, which is not acceptable in this environment. We had ordered a cocktail and a soft drink, at the same time as we placed our order for dinner. After 30 minutes, still nothing, while other guests who arrived after us – and who were not even staying at the hotel – were already served, drinks and appetizers included.
When our entrances finally arrived, waiting had already ruined the moment. Same problem for the dish: very long delay, no attention, and not even a carafe of water brought spontaneously. When we told the waiter that we were unhappy, he had the courtesy to go and tell the manager... but she didn’t even bother to come and see us.
When she left the room, she even tried to avoid us. We insisted on telling her of our disappointment, but no excuse: she simply told us in a haughty tone that she would not charge us for drinks... drinks that we never received! Still happy, given the circumstances.
This is really unfortunate, as the Welcoming at the reception and the room were satisfactory, but the restaurant experience left a very bad memory of our stay.

Beautiful location

It was e EN very nice hotel, with a nice environment and surrounded by DE beautiful nature. Me EN my boyfriend took DE half board deal ourselves for seven days, so you had both breakfast and dinner included. Breakfast was very simple: baguette, apple juice from EN bus, fruit juice from a bus, different kinds of fruit, yogurt, 1 kind of ham, 1 kind of cheese, milk, coffee, a homemade egg and DAN not to mention small jars of jam. The breakfast was so all in all not mega luxurious, but everything was there that you could want for a breakfast. For dinner EN it fell a little more teg EN you have a set menu that you can not adjust and that consists of four courses (entrance, main course, cheese and dessert). It is very nicely presented, but is mainly made up of meat, so if you don't eat meat this is quite difficult. Furthermore it was not always ev EN tasty EN we stayed seven days and after DE vierd hadd and we ate everything on the menu and just started them again, this was a pity. You do pay for booze outside when you drink water. Dinner does take place in a beautiful location, namely on DE ferry EN this is really an experience. The hotel was very clean. They were vrien DE corpse, bed DEN are good, the room is dark, the bathroom is okay (provided a broken shower head), there is no air conditioning so quite warm, wifi is very good, ... EN really good, nice and simple hotel that is definitely worth it for this price. The only thing working is that the pool was very cold, so we didn't get to enjoy this much ourselves. In addition, there is a minus point, but this is not the hotel. It's a small cute village, it's not very big here, but you DE have everything around here (shop, bakery, ...). The only thing after DEEL is that you have seen DE whole neighborhood on one and a half day and for the other activities it is quite a drive. DE activities around do not take too long, but are DE worthwhile (chateau valon, mini golf,...).
All in all a aanra DEr if you want to unwind in beautiful nature between EN the medieval cottages EN love walking in quiet alleys and streets.
