Lovely hotel in Falaise

We stayed at this delightful hotel whilst on a weekend Battlefields Tour with Leger. Despite arriving quite late on the Friday evening, our whole group was warmly greeted and quickly allocated our bedrooms which were ranged over three floors. Ours was immaculately clean, with an excellent en suite comprising both a bath and shower, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space to hang our clothes and store our cases. Despite the hotel having plenty of bookings from our tour group it was peaceful and quiet. A buffet style breakfast was served downstairs daily in the restaurant area, and offered a good selection of cereals, pastries, hot food, and drinks which set us up nicely for the busy day ahead. We also ate a delicious evening meal there on the Sunday, and service was excellent considering the large number of people all turning up at the same time after our day's excursions !! The staff were all very friendly and approachable, and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely stay here again-highly recommended !

Good hotel in a convenient location

Well located for visiting Falaise and the region, but not really walking distance from the centre of Falaise or the chateau etc.
Plentiful free parking. Friendly and helpful staff. decent on-site restaurant. Dog friendly and located on grounds large enough for your dog to stretch its legs if needed.
Would’ve been better if the air-conditioning was a bit stronger.

Pet friendly stay in a quiet location

Hotel is situated at the edge of Falaise in a quiet spot. Its a standard Ibis, so you know what you're going to get, a clean room, comfy bed and a small bathroom. Staff were friendly & helpful, most spoke English.
Food in the restaurant was good, as was the buffet breakfast the following day. The hotel is popular with tour groups doing battlefield & WW11 tours, so breakfast can be a bit of a trial unless you wait until the coach leaves for that day.
If you want to cater your own food, there is a Leclerc supermarket nearby and the town of Falaise is a short drive away for cafes & restaurants.
Pet friendly with good grassy areas for walks. Parking is easy in their large surface carpark and is free.

Hotel fridge!

So... Excellent welcome; decent breakfast (no more) BUT... huge heating problem in the rooms: controlled heating from the reception but totally inefficient despite our repeated request... So atmosphere not at all pleasant, bathroom towels do not dry... we can't wait to take the car back to warm up... pity (I note that this problem has already been reported for several months, without effect of the management... bad publicity for the Accor group). We're not coming back.

Overall pleasantly surprised by this lovely little hotel.

The Ibis Falaise was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Our room was adequate in size and the bed and bedding really comfortable. Only negative was the bathroom door opened outwards and blocked route into bedroom area, which we found disorienting.
All of the hotel staff were very helpful, extremely pleasant and friendly at all times.
The continental breakfast selection was huge and impressive served in a really pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. We were part of a coach tour (on bed & breakfast basis) and the management/staff even made a breakfast available at 4.00 am on our departure day which was very much appreciated. The hotel was close to a supermarket but as far as I know there were no other cafes nearby. However, we were able to purchase our evening meals at the hotel restaurant from a menu with a pretty good choice of meals.
We woukd like to thank all the hotel staff.
