About fifty kilometers from the Frejus Tunnel, a pleasant stop for those arriving from Europe in Italy: the village of La Chambre, and is in the Maurienne Valley, at the foot of the passes of Le Madeleine and Glandon. Here there is a very small Hotel, indeed, a “chambre d’hotes” of only 4 rooms. It is a recently renovated villa, with comfortable, spotless rooms, managed by two spouses who welcome guests with a rare grace.
The villa has a large garden, a swimming pool and various outdoor living rooms; each space denotes the attention of the owners to the well-being of guests, down to the smallest details aimed at making your stay enjoyable. In the evening a convivial dinner is served around a large table; English, French, German Italian, the languages of the various guests mix while an aperitif is served, waiting for the dishes cooked by the owners; in summer outside, where the owner juggles the barbecue, in the colder months in the indoor room. The vegetables come from the well-kept garden, where pesticides and chemical fertilizers are banned.
A perfect place to visit the surroundings, try your hand at summer sports (biking, via ferrata) and winter sports (skiing) or just to make a stop along the way. Excellent value for money
