A little gem

This place is unique! It’s a converted barn! The owners were very friendly and welcoming. It’s a hidden gem. Beautiful rooms with a nice garden and Jacuzzi! Bed was comfy and it’s in a very quiet village so no noise. Lots of safe parking. Port Dienville is only a 15 min drive which was a beautiful village with places to eat (even On a Sunday evening - although only after 7pm)! Breakfast was traditional and amazing! Plenty of food and nothing was to much trouble - they even got up early for us as we wanted to hit the road early! This place is cash only as per what it says upon booking so make sure you have this!

The Absolute Best BNB In All Of France!!!!

From start to finish our stay at this place was the highlight of our trip to France! If you are looking for a truly "French" experience - than this is the place. The owner/hostess was absolutely wonderful and took care of our every need. The rooms are set up with so many little nik-naks you'll think that you've travelled back in time to a royal wardrobe set in Pre-Revolutionary France.
The room we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous as was the entire property and the location was nice and quiet. Just a 30 minute drive from beautiful Troyes, nestled in the village of Lesmont, a great place to use as your home base while exploring the Champagne region of France.
Bring a bathing suit too as there is a lovely big jacuzzi out in the barn - we didn't use it but it looked wonderful.

Beautiful stop off

Great stop off with a hot tub to sooth the shoulders after a long drive. Beautiful rooms and a place crammed with brocante, full of character and highly individual. Good breakfast. Only negative is no dinner & as it was Sunday we had to drive 15 km to local lakeside where some very average restaurants were located; i think if you found a local place on a weekday it would be perfect. She has a pretty garden too.

A wonderful surprise

On first entering the barn at the rear of the owners house one immediately realises that the lady of the house has exquisite taste and a wonderful eye for detail which is clearly evident from the style and taste of the Marie Antoinette room in which we stayed. The furniture is all authentic and one is transported back in time to a more elegant period. This refinement was carried over to breakfast which was superb and again served in a beautifully decorated breakfast room. For the energetic there is a small 'gym' with running machine and jacuzzi. Lesmont itself is pretty non de script and we were not able to find anywhere decent to eat in the area. Apart from that a most enjoyable experience

Very pleasant, would consider again

I was looking for a bed on the way south from Dunkirk. I left it a little late, but was happy to find this place and the people.
The accommodation is a converted farmhouse. The rooms are fantastic! There was a slightly funny smell in the stairway but easily ignored. There is a jacuzzi / gym in this tiny place, but I had no time to try them.
Sadly there was no food available when I arrived so I went along the road to a buffet style restaurant - cheap and cheerful. Also the card machine want working so I had to make an extra 16 km trip in the morning for cash. A small inconvenience.
English of the man was good, his wife spoke easier to understand French before the evening wine started!
I would choose to stay here with a partner for a feature room as I was traveling. The area and food are the weakness. Alone, I would look for somewhere cheaper.
