A well located and quiet hotel

Accessible in 25 minutes on foot from Part-Dieu station and 50 m from Garibaldi Metro station (connecting to Saxony-Gambetta). Bus stop (1.60 € single ticket) Garibaldi 100 m (opposite the pharmacy) for bus C7 (-> Part-Dieu station, in 7 minutes). Payment on arrival. Welcome back. Bright room with small bedside tables, desk with poof. Functional Wi-Fi and TV. Good sound insulation. Breakfast (buffet): teas, coffees, bread, jams, pastries, pancakes, fruit juices, scrambled eggs, sausages, yogurt, applesauce, fruit salad, cheeses, cold cuts, apples.

Disappointed, no respect for loyal customers, on the contrary...

Regulars at this hotel, 6 stays in 1 year, usual triple room, no problem.
While the room rate for the last stay this weekend was 180 euros (instead of the usual average of 90), we were placed in a room on the ground floor, next to the service areas, a room with 2 large pillars in the middle, no separate toilet, a damaged and small bathroom, no space to put belongings, curtain hooks used as coat hooks... Breakfast left much to be desired, no eggs, limited fruit juice...

Well, it started at check-in. The person at the reception asked us for a credit card without explaining why. I asked if any deposit would be charged, and he said it was only to register the card, in case we “completely destroyed the room,” adding that “we were Brazilians and liked to party.”I gave my card, and to my surprise, the next day I saw that the full amount of the stay had been charged, even though it had already been paid through Booking.
The following day, I explained the situation and requested a refund.
I checked out of the hotel recently, but I was unable to obtain proof of the refund to have evidence of the hotel’s mistake, only an email and a phone number. After a month since my complaint, I am still waiting for the refund to appear in my bank account.

Disappointed

Upon entering the reception with my son before going up to our room, the security guard, who was also in charge of the reception, asked us to leave the premises immediately as he had to go upstairs.
When I expressed my astonishment, he replied that computers, papers and his phone were on site, then accused me of being in bad faith because I wanted to stay a few moments.
I found this attitude inappropriate and unprofessional. In addition, leaving reception unattended with sensitive equipment also raises questions.
Very unpleasant incident, especially in the presence of my son.

Worst stay ever

Checked in yesterday for 5 nights .. it was a particularly hot day ! Hotel description says air conditioning but doesn’t mention it’s according to season ! They didn’t have option to change the room where there is no direct sunlight ! They don’t have fans to help customers who have normal body temperatures , who feel hot when it’s hot ! They recommended we should sleep with windows open , after 24 hour long travel we didn’t sleep a minute due to people shouting and traffic sounds due to open window! Don’t know who designed the rooms but I m sure he would have zero common sense ! Why would you have seperately bathroom and toilet with washbasin in bathing room ?? Every time I use the toilet I open both doors with dirty hand ! They make scrambled eggs in microwave as they don’t have pans etc in kitchen ! We paid 90 euros a night for a hotel which shudnt be called one
Nothing to eat if you want something fresh ! No salads no fresh fruits .. nothing at all all you get is precooked food ! Pathetic , don’t know what kind of hotels people who have this hotel 4/5 stars have stayed in before here but this is the worst one for me !
