Great location - amazing views.

Ended our 2 weeks of holiday in France with 6 nights in Marseille. Great quiet location of the hotel and very nice with parking,
Also - gym was well equipped.
We had a nice big room with balcony overlooking the old harbour that was stunning and in the shade in the afternoon/evening
You can see that the hotel might need some smaller renovations from time to time - but for us, it was a great ending to an amazing holiday.
Very good service from everyone

Awoken by Bin Trucks at 6:00 am - not acceptable for a 5* hotel.

We were awoken by bin trucks emptying refuse bins at 6:00 am. When I was asked about our experience I told the Receptionist and he simply said he was sorry. Not what we expected in a 5* hotel. Will stay in the Intercontinental next time.

Everything was as expected of the sofitel brand and I was really happy with the hotel. The rooms were clean and large for Europe, staff were helpful and friendly.

The location is a dream.
The staff's goodwill must be mentioned; these people are kind and generous!!!
The restaurant is simply delicious.

lamentable

menu of August 15, 2 starters 2 courses cheese dessert mignardises. After specifying, at the reservation and the installation at our table, that we are 2 vegetarians out of 4, and that we eat fish and shellfish, we are brought the 1st course: blue crab tomato water; on 1 of the plates, "we removed the crab"; so the starter is: 1 candied cherry rtomato surrounded by a puddle of tomato water; in a large plate with chipped edges. we correct. 2nd plt, here too we were warned and told that there will be no problem, that one of us does not eat goats; it is not complicated; no meat and no goats for her, no meat for me; they bring us the 4 zucchini flowers to the goats; we correct. 3rd course, monkfish; 1 of the 4 plates is filled with beans and the sauce is separate; we don't know why; then the lamb, on 3 plates 'we're still 2 vegetarians!); and when we correct, arrive plates for vegetarians: they removed the lamb without doing anything more. Dessert: camargo toasted rice is a tasteless patty with a sticky porridge texture; cuteness? Forgotten, they bring us back 8 small dry ovens, soggy cookies... Lamentable.
