Great moment of relaxation in a superb local red sandstone castle

The welcome is top notch, the castle has been restored from cellar to ceiling, the perfect room in the current trend and the view from there embraces the horizon and invites you to daydream! Nothing to complain about, certainly not for all budgets but a justified price.

When modernity blends brilliantly into the architecture of the Middle Ages...

Impressive renovation of very high quality carried out thanks to the intervention of great professionals, with extraordinary decoration in this magnificent little castle in Permian red sandstone (the same as those of Collonges la Rouge. Exceptional setting of tranquility overlooking the valley for endless contemplations from the rooms and the large heated swimming pool...congratulations to the owners for the choice of professionals who have succeeded in this brilliant marriage between the Middle Ages and modernity...

Very disapointed

We booked for 3 nights but we left after 1 night because we did not feel welcome. We had a standaard room at the top and had to climb 60 steps with our luggage to reach the room. If we had known this before we had not booked this room. We had to put out our shoes before entering our room because of the light grey carpet on the floor. The room was nice and comfortabele. We asked to charge our electric car just for 1 night and that was okay. Before breakfast and without consultation the power plug was disconnected. There was no reason to do so. We payed the electricity and decided to leave as we didnot want her to spoil our holiday.

Great place to relax and visit the area

We stayed 1 night as travelling through the region.
The setting is a magnificent old mansion with bucket of charms, set in a very quiet area in the countryside with amazing views of the rolling hills. There is nice park and great swimming pool that we couldn’t use unfortunately as too cold at the end of September, but it is easy to see that it will be a superb place in the summer.
We were received by the owner. Our room was a « standard », located on the top floor. It is quite high up via a superb spiral staircase - be prepared to walk up, but the reward is a very comfortable room with a large bed and shower, with great views over the countryside. All very cosy and well designed, feeling very new.
We had dinner in a nearby village as there is no restaurant in the Chateau.
Breakfast was great and served on a communal table alongside the other 2 guests. Very good continental breakfast that set us well for the day.
All in all, wholeheartedly recommend it - great friendly owners, great room and amazing setting.
Will stay again if we have the opportunity!

Short but sweet

Our visit to this lovely Chateau was cut short as I had to return to England, however we would have no hesitation in returning or recommending this property. The Host Clarisse is delightful and makes you feel welcome as soon as you arrive, the property is set off the beaten track and surrounded by beautiful countryside with some lovely views. The rooms are tastefully decorated and well furnished.
Breakfast is simple but plentiful and served on the patio during fine weather or in the kitchen when not so fine.
Our stay was short, but sweet and we will endeavour to return again one day
