We stayed here twice while on a tour in three different rooms, if 2 out of 3 is acceptable then it’s ok.

Very disappointing experience – theft and lack of response
During breakfast, between approximately 7:00 am and 8:00 am, my black cross-body bag was hanging from the same chair on my right-hand side, where I was seated. The bag was therefore within my immediate vicinity throughout breakfast.
The bag contained a Canon EOS R50 camera worth approximately €855 and €380 in cash, as well as my passports and house keys.
At some point during breakfast, the bag was taken without me noticing. When I realised it was missing, I immediately reported it to the hotel staff.
What particularly concerns me is that, after I reported the missing bag, a female member of the restaurant staff told me that my bag had been found outside the hotel. I find this particularly suspicious because she was working inside the restaurant at the time, and I do not understand how she knew that my bag had been left outside.
The bag was subsequently recovered outside the hotel, adjacent to the restaurant side. However, the camera and €380 cash had been removed, while my passports and house keys remained inside.
Given where I was seated, with the bag hanging from the same chair on my right-hand side, it would have been difficult for another guest to access it without me noticing. I therefore have serious concerns that the person responsible may have had access to the restaurant or back-of-house area.
I am not in a position to identify the person responsible, which is precisely why I requested that the hotel immediately preserve and review its CCTV footage. The sequence of events, particularly how the restaurant employee knew that the bag was outside, should have been properly investigated.
Unfortunately, when I reported the incident at reception, I was disappointed by the response and did not feel that sufficient urgency was given to checking the CCTV. I subsequently emailed the hotel requesting that the relevant CCTV footage be preserved and reviewed, but I did not even receive an acknowledgement. I have reported the incident to the French police.
The financial loss is only part of the disappointment. The camera contained many photographs from our European group tour, including memories from the destinations we had visited throughout the trip. Losing those irreplaceable personal memories at a hotel, where guests should reasonably feel that their belongings are safe, was particularly upsetting.
The theft itself was extremely upsetting, but the lack of urgency and follow-up from the hotel made the experience considerably worse. For a hotel of this standard, I would have expected much more professional assistance when a serious incident involving a guest’s belongings occurred on the premises.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. I strongly recommend that guests take extra care with their valuables, and I hope the hotel takes this matter seriously and cooperates fully with the police investigation.

Not the Mercure standard
If you are looking for the standard of a Mercure, forget it.
A dreary environment (except for the golf side), faded hallways, old-fashioned rooms with minimal equipment (no phone, missing pillow, simple kettle, cardboard cups...).
A restaurant that nevertheless benefits from a superb terrace overlooking the golf course, a menu that is a bit mundane, however, decent cuisine without the little extra one would expect, kind but very slow service. You are no longer hungry when the dishes arrive.
The whole thing is generally disappointing.

Toutefois, il semble que votre commentaire ne concerne pas notre établissement, car notre hôtel ne dispose pas d'un parcours de golf. Malgré cette confusion, nous sommes sincèrement désolés que votre expérience n'ait pas été entièrement à la hauteur de vos attentes.
