Agréable surprise que ce petit hôtel restaurant.
Le personnel est serviable; avec un bon accueil.
Les mets sont de qualité et savoureux.
Excellent séjour dans un hôtel, sans prétention, dans un petit village de France, dans lequel nous nous arrêterons lors d'un prochain passage dans cette région.

Just about passable for one night but wouldn't stay there again
When we arrived, we thought it had closed down as all the shutters were down and we couldn't see any lights on.
The owner who greeted us was very pleasant and checked us in
The room as the rest of the hotel is very dated. It looks a lot nicer on the web site.
Our room was clean, and the bed was comfortable enough.
Unfortunately the walls are paper thin and there was another guest talking on the phone at 3.30am for a very long time that disturbed our sleep. I couldn't wait to check out.
The breakfast was fine breads, jams, yoghurt and coffee for 7.40 euros each served by a very pleasant lady

Do not stay here
A small village auberge this cheaper end accommodation meets its goals in most things. Yes rooms are small (they all are in France). Yes the bathroom is small (but what do you expect in a 10sm room). The shower is small but excellent pressure.
The owners are friendly and the bar/restaurant/breakfast meets its price point (cheap and OK).
BUT the main reason for booking accommodation is to sleep.
This hotel is on the junction of 2 rural but VERY busy roads with constant truck traffic through the night (not passing - stopping (brake noise) and then starting (gear noise)). And the rooms are no more than 10m from all of this.
Stopping on a very hot night I had the choice of closed window (reduced noise but sweltering) or window open (cooler but constant noise). I doubt closed windows would make much difference - but proper curtains would at least have kept the restaurant neon signs across the road at bay!)
Really this should not be a hotel.

Escale campagnarde
Seule ombre: chambre située sur rue (Passage de poids-lourd à toute heure générant nuisance sonore). Pas de clim dans la chambre, étouffant en saison chaude.
63€ + 2x 7,40€ pet. dèj. Prix sur-évaluer par rapport à ces 2 nuisances.
