Hartelijk dank voor uw mooie beoordeling en uw vriendelijke woorden over Hôtel Alhambra.
Het doet ons bijzonder veel plezier dat u de vriendelijkheid van ons team heeft gewaardeerd en dat u zich bij ons prettig heeft gevoeld. Uw opmerking dat u zonder aarzelen opnieuw bij ons zou verblijven, is voor ons een prachtig compliment.
Ons hotel ligt bovendien op een steenworp afstand van metrostation Oberkampf en op slechts 5 minuten lopen van de wijk Le Marais, terwijl onze grote privétuin een rustige en groene plek biedt midden in Parijs.
Wij kijken ernaar uit u bij een volgend bezoek aan Parijs opnieuw te mogen verwelkomen!

Stay Very Far Away
I made a reservation March 1 2026 for May 3. - 7 through Expedia for the Hotel Alahambra in Paris for my vacation. I paid with American Express. Almost immediately after I made the reservation I realized that that I would not be able to make in on May 3 which was a Sunday cause there was not a train I could take from Cannes to Paris after I arrived there at the end of my cruise. I tried to shorten my reservation by 1 day and was told by Expedia the hotel would not do that. I told them that I would arrive, then, one day later than my reservation but would keep the departure date the same. I was told by Expedia I needed to contact the hotel directly which I did by email through Expedia. The hotel responded with "dear Guest,
we will respect the booking conditions of arrival". I assumed that they understood from this cryptic response. I was boarding the train that Monday, when I discovered that my reservation had been cancelled on Expedia. I immediately called Hotel Alhambra and was told that I was viewed as a no show and as a result my entire reservation was cancelled. I reminded that I sent them an email telling them I would be one day late. They told me this changed the original terms of the reservations and that as a result when I did not show on Sunday May 3, I was viewed as a no show and that Expedia cancelled my reservation. When I contacted Expedia they said that was the policy of the hotel and that that the hotel canceled the reservation. No where in Expedia's site not on the hotel'd site nor on the paperwork anywhere does it suggest that if I was a day late, and told them, that my reservation would canceled with no refund. I have filed a dispute with American Express and they have refunded the money. Expedia's behavior was of no help. They told me they could not recover a canceled reservation. Expedia told me the hotel would get my $691.63. Note I received an email from Expedia telling me my reservation was cancelled on May 6 only after I officially complained to a supervisor. This was 3 days after the cancellation This was an outrageous theft of my money with no services rendered.

We are sorry that you were disappointed, but your review does not accurately reflect the terms of your reservation.
You booked a non-refundable promotional rate, benefiting from a 25% discount compared to our flexible rate. In exchange for this discounted price, the booking conditions clearly stated that any change to the arrival date or failure to arrive on the scheduled check-in date could result in the reservation being treated as a no-show.
You did inform us that you wished to arrive one day later than originally planned. We replied that the conditions of your reservation would apply, meaning that your arrival date could not be changed under the non-refundable rate you had chosen.
As you did not arrive on 3 May, the scheduled check-in date, your reservation was processed in accordance with the booking conditions you had accepted. Expedia subsequently applied the same contractual rules.
We also strongly disagree with your statement that we "took your money without providing any service." Your room was reserved and held exclusively for you until your scheduled arrival date. The discounted rate you received was specifically linked to stricter booking conditions than those of our flexible rate.
Finally, we regret your comments regarding our professionalism. Our team simply applied the contractual terms that you freely accepted when making your reservation. The same rules are applied equally to all our guests.
We nevertheless wish you all the best for your future travels.

Absolutely recommendable hotel with an ideal location advantage
The air-conditioned rooms with modern bathrooms were top.
The teens had an extra-large 3-bed room and a larger bathroom.
The very good breakfast could. Be taken in the garden or in the dining area.
There is the typical French breakfast croissants, pain au chocolat, baguette, with salmon, ham, salami, jam, cheese, yogurt, granola, fruit mix, orange and apple juice as well as coffee and tea selections.
The hotel is ideally located between Pl de la République and Bastille.
The Oberkampf metro station is around the corner and you are therefore within 25-30 minutes of all the sights in Paris - regardless of whether by metro or on foot.
Absolutely recommended.
