TRAPPED IN A BROKEN LIFT FOR ONE HOUR. IGNORED FOR TEN MINUTES. OFFERED A CROISSANT AS COMPENSATION.
I genuinely struggle to put into words how shocking my experience was. On 30 August, I entered the lift to go to my room and became trapped. This same lift had already been broken when I checked in and had supposedly been “fixed”. I pressed the emergency alarm for around ten minutes, nobody came! I was trapped in extreme heat, hyperventilating, and having a full blown panic attack, with no idea whether anyone was coming. Eventually, another guest heard me screaming and alerted staff. Matthew at reception said he would call for help, yet showed an astonishing lack of urgency. Getting updates was so difficult that I had to contact friends abroad and ask them to call the hotel themselves to put pressure on him. At one point, while I was still trapped and screaming, Matthew returned and actually asked whether I wanted him to call for help again. The fact that this even needed to be asked was incomprehensible. After I was finally released, there was no genuine apology until I escalated through Booking.com, and no incident report was made. When I asked for the manager, Matthew told me “Quentin” would be available the following morning. I returned specifically to speak to him, only to discover Quentin was not the manager at all, but another front desk employee. After being sent through an absurd runaround, I eventually spoke to the director, Pénélope. I requested a refund. She smiled and told me this was out of the question. Her idea of a “reasonable resolution” was free breakfast and a complimentary upgrade if I booked the hotel again. The idea that I would ever voluntarily return after this experience is insulting. A lift malfunction can happen. Ignoring an emergency alarm, displaying almost no urgency while a guest is trapped and panicking, failing to properly document the incident, misleading me about management and then treating breakfast as adequate compensation is is not an accident. It is a complete failure of basic safety, professionalism and HUMAN DECENCY.

Avoid at all costs!
Aside from the staff, who are friendly, and the central location just behind the Galeries Lafayette, this hotel should be avoided. I stayed there during a week of heatwave, and the establishment has no air conditioning. The fan provided only circulated hot air. The temperature in the room, tiny with a low ceiling and carpet, reached 95 °F: impossible to sleep there. As for the breakfast, it was very disappointing, served in a cramped and stuffy room. All of this for €250 a night. A completely unjustified rate considering the services provided. An experience I do not recommend.

Terrible hotel
My room smelled very bad, I would say it was truly awful.
I immediately informed the front desk.
I said it is lamentable to give a room like this, and he told me not to complain because there is another room, especially at that price, and then he told me that I am not pleasant; I told him, excuse me, the one suffering is me, I am changing floors with all my luggage and there is no normal help.
At breakfast, no one says hello.
The orange juice is disgusting, and the pastries are not good and frozen.
Breakfast where there are too few options.

The room was very tiny like tin can. Stuffy no air conditioning. The bed is tiny and even small for a kid. I canceled. No refund. They even collected taxes. I did not use it even for a night.

Disappointing.
I spent three days in this hotel located in a very convenient and central position in the city. The presentation photos on various sites, including the official one, are beautiful and indeed convincing for a 3-star rating. In reality, the structure is quite different, with small rooms, uneven flooring even though covered with carpet, no wardrobe or drawer in the room, no air conditioning, and at night it was impossible to sleep due to the heat, no safe, and a minimal breakfast served in a tiny room.
In short, a two-star rating would have been more appropriate because the only thing three-star was the price: 900 euros for three nights.
