When looking for accommodation one of the criteria was a heated pool. This listing advertised a heated pool as of May 1. When we arrived the host acknowledged that the pool was open and heated at 27 degrees the day before. In reality the pool and pool area were unusable. Leafs covered the pool cover and seating around the pool area. Had we attempted to use the pool we would have had to roll the cover up and back on the pool after we used it.
The patio outside our unit was not swept up from leafs and hence the leaves were carried into the room. Despite that the room was not swept in the three days were there.
On a positive note the host was accommodating fulfilling all requests and the breakfasts were excellent.

Beautiful place in a tranquil setting.
Surrounded by sky scrapper pine trees and beautiful views Les Mazets Du Luberon is a tranquil hideaway where you can truly switch off and relax.
Clean white linen beds invite you to sleep in your comfortable room and the tadalack bathroom offers a rain forest shower, double sinks and separate loo.
Be aware though, French towels are small. Not sure my 6’5 son would have had much to dry himself with if he’d been here!
You will also no doubt have additional “guests” in your room. Cochette the neighbours large tabby cat likes to visit in the evenings, his stealthy approach may make you jump but he is very friendly and makes “dough” wherever he goes.
Then there are the millipedes, harmless but not particularly pleasant if you find one in the shower!!!
There are LOTS everywhere, they climb the walls at night then sit in corners hiding from the sun during the day. And lots of ants of all shapes and sizes, beetles and geckos.
Make sure you bring insect repellent, spray and cream for mosquito bites. We were “eaten” at every opportunity and looked like we had chicken pox !
The surrounding area is filled with yellow stone houses, beautiful hilltop villages and more hidden secrets. The artisan village of Lourmarin is a must. Wander through the cobbled streets, shop in the small boutiques and enjoy vin rose at your leisure.
Be aware Les Mazets du Louberon is a guest house. A B&B only offering a basic continental breakfast, albeit one with the best pastries and seeded baguette. There is nothing else.
You can visit the local Intermarche (about 15 mins down the road) to pick up water, wine and snacks, don’t expect any of this on site.
There are restaurants and takeaways around the area but check opening days and hours as these are restricted.
Nicholas, the resident “guest relations” speaks good English and is helpful but he’s not going to bring you a Pina Colada by the pool. Which by the way is perfectly adequate for a refreshing dip.
The locals are really friendly with some speaking good English.
The cockerel chooses when he crows anytime from around 11ish to 4pm…. It’s a very laid back noise as if he can’t really be bothered…. You certainly can’t rely on him for an early morning alarm !!
Just two things for the owners, would be nice if the rooms were swept daily and bins emptied. Otherwise you have a charming , peaceful place in a beautiful location.

We loved our stay, and wish we had more time. The host was extremely helpful in suggesting an itinerary. Delicious breakfast!

An unforgettable evening and night of dreams
A beautiful romantic experience in the villa Attrap’Rêves with private Jacuzzi and indoor pool. We ordered a tray of 48 savoury small ovens a tray of 24 sweet cupcakes. Very nice decoration, everything was perfect!

Nothing was missing
We chose the Mazets with a couple of friends for 4 nights. We were looking for a quiet, elegant, comfortable place. We were not disappointed and even our satisfaction exceeded our expectations of charming and considerate hosts. In front of each room a terrace where it is possible to settle for one in case.
A very appreciable plus (possibility to have glasses, plates and cutlery). A small fridge in the room completes the comfort.
Nothing lacked in our comfort.
Very hearty breakfasts.
