Great experience

Contortionate hotel strategically located for visiting the center of Rouen, it has bright, clean and well furnished rooms, with comfortable mattress and pillow. Even the breakfast I liked.

Great hotel, extortionate parking costs with no transparency!

Great location, friendly staff and lovely hotel. However I wouldn’t recommend using their car park. We weren’t told the cost when we arrived, only on departure. €50 per night!! There’s an underground public car park right behind the hotel for €19.60 for 24 hours which we would have used if we knew. Luckily we had that money available but I can only imagine others won’t have factored this much into their staying costs. At this price the hotel should be allowing people the option when parking is requested. Shocking!

We would like to clarify that our private underground car park is charged at €21 per night, and this information is available on our different booking platforms as well as at reception. We are sorry if this was not clearly communicated to you during your arrival.
Our private car park offers the advantage of being directly accessible from the hotel and secured for our guests, but we also understand that price is an important consideration. Our team remains available to inform guests of the different parking options nearby so they can choose the solution that best suits their needs.

Sink was clogged, and though a new property it felt a bit dated.
Bed is a poor memory foam that's not the best comfort.
Breakfast was relatively poor.
Noisy location right above a busy Boulevard, and no real view of the river due to trees so don't factor that. View is very industrial anyway.
Close to old town, the church, and great restaurants.
Overall a good location, but mediocre amenities.

It's a basic hotel that is convenient to the historical center. However - we arrived on a very warm night (about 80 F) and the a/c wasnt on. When we asked for it to be turned on to cool the rooms, we were told that the hotel had just won an environmental award and could not use a/c because heating was on for those who wanted it.
Apparently these folks care way more about an award than their guests' comfort. I doubt I'd use Novotel again.

Novotel Rouen Centre Cathédrale

Terrific hotel. It seems to be fairly new. The location is perfect on the banks of Siena and a 5-minute walk to the cathedral and old town. Excellent front desk, very helpful and friendly staff. The room was of good size with everything new and shiny. Great parking garage.
