Great place to stay!

We were very impressed by the great hospitality of the owners, the very nice garden and comfortable room. Breakfast is superb and the owners go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your stay. Can highly recommend it!

Magnificent house made perfect by the owners.

We stayed here for one night recently when attending a wedding reception at a nearby chateau. The b and b was booked by the brides mother for us so we had no idea really what we were going to.
It is tucked away from the road and quite difficult to find, but when you get there......WOW. The owners Patrick and Joselyne Moreau have put together the most magnificent country house, full of character, beautiful furniture, ornaments etc. We were in the top room which although two floors up was huge with an even bigger bathroom. A large modern glass shower cubicle, chairs, basin, loo, toiletries etc, and being on the top floor there was practically no noise whatsoever.
We were driving to the Chateau for the reception but asked Patrick if he could arrange for a taxi to collect us at midnight, bring us back, and then return us to the chateau the following morning. Being France and in the country he could not find one but offered to do the trips himself! True to his word, on the stroke of midnight he collected us and drove us home.
The next morning we were treated, along with the other guests, to a fantastic breakfast laid out on a large table outside. As other reviewers have said, you want for nothing. Home made jams, cakes, bread, endless coffee, cheeses etc, it was a wonderful spread. After breakfast Patrick ran us to the chateau and gave us a parting gift of a bag of dried herbs from their garden.
If you get the chance to stay here.......DO! You wont regret it.

The most beautiful BnB

This was our first stopover in a week long cycle arounf the Ardeche. the day was very long and we arrived exhausted, hot and sweaty in this most beautiful dwelling. We were welcomed and offered drinks, showed to a most spectacular room. The attention to detail of the owners is second to none and it is rare to meet people who so obviously love welcoming guests to their home. The breakfast was huge and delicious. The house is by a busy road that can be noisy but don't let this put you off. It has been one of the best places we have ever stayed in. Fantastic value for money.

Caring service, comfortable rooms with character!

Our visit was made special both by the character of the place and by the owners, who made us feel right at home in a non-intrusive way. They served a welcome drink in the garden, which has magnificent trees for shade. Breakfast is also served in the garden, weather permitting, or else in a nice dining room. There was plenty of choice, and the quality was excellent. We had the Ravel room; there are two other rooms, all up two flights of stairs. Not very large, but lots of character! A comfortable bed, a good shower. Noisy drivers can be heard on the road below, but closing the window provides enough insulation. The surrounding area is is lovely: rolling green hills, and highland with vistas just a little further west. We used the place only as a restful stopover, which worked out very well, but we now consider it a possible destination for another time.

A most wonderful surprise!

Our stay lasted 2 nights and was a absolute delight from start to finish. As we arrived we were welcomed by the most cordial owners who immediately offered us a welcome drink in the beautiful garden. Breakfast was heavenly. Freshly picked fruits from the garden, the most tasteful croissants and homemade cakes.
Maison Hérald is located in the stunning hills and forests of the Ardèche making it an ideal location for walks and nature sight seeing.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience which we highly recommend to anybody.
