Impecable, fabulous, luxurious, welcoming

We are extremely grateful for the warm welcome and care given by Benoit, Lynda, and Gregory during our 4-night stay in St. Emilion during the recent heatwave in France. This was the absolute highlight of our month-long trip in France. The hotel is simply impecable. Every detail has been considered. You can reach all the nearby sites on foot, but do take a taxi from the train station because it's not an easy walk to the hotel from there. The lobby, bar area, and breakfast spaces are comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed meeting the other guests, having drinks, and sharing experiences. Ahhh, the room....total luxury. Perfect place to rest, relax and rejuvenate when you want total peace and quiet. We enjoyed the Trocard winery tour with Benoit, the walking tour of the city booked at the Tourism Office, as well as the tuk-tuk tour from Cloitre des Cordeliers (across the street from the hotel).

A gem in Saint-Emilion

We spent two wonderful days at Hotel Porte Brunet which greatly enhanced our Saint-Emilion experience. This is a delightfully modern hotel that belies its traditional external appearance. The team are very welcoming and professional in their approach. Laurent went out of his way to assist us with parking and Linda was exceptional in her attentive care. The hotel commands a marvellous view over the village and surrounding vineyards. We stayed in Room 21 which has a little Juliet balcony and provides a wonderful outlook. Breakfasts are tasty and very adequate. We cannot recommend Hotel Porte Brunet highly enough.

Wonderful small hotel in Saint-Emilion. Great location. Lovely room. Excellent service. Delicious breakfast. Highly recommend.

Amazing Hotel … just gorgeous …we booked this for our 40th wedding anniversary and it didn’t disappoint.

What a an absolutely beautiful experience we had from the time of booking .. friendly emails from the start.
We arrived at this beautiful hotel and were greeted by Linda and Gregory… they both were lovely to us and very helpful. Linda full of fun and knowledge.
The hotel itself is stunning beautifully decorated and in a fantastic position in the village..
We had room 21 which had a balcony with beautiful views .. although the weather was unsettled it was just lovely to have to see the views.
We had breakfast brought up to the room by Gregory each morning ..it was perfect granola. Yoghurt and berries and the best croissants and French bread ever ! Just perfect.
The room was immaculate and the room cleaned thoroughly everyday with fresh towels etc
After we’d been out each night for dinner we came back and the lovely Gregory would serve us drinks .. with lots of good advice on their wines and bourbons !! We’d have a chat with him before bed.
We decided to book the wine tasting trip with the owner Benoit who also owns a beautiful chateau 30 mins away . The car picked us up for the tour . Amazing tour of his 400 year old family run chateau.
Obviously wine tasting at the end with nibbles was great .. and we did purchase.
Benoit also cooked a beautiful meal atthe hotel that evening white asparagus , duck confit , cheese and lemon pie !! Served by Gregory paired With stunning wines
All in all a fabulous trip for our 40th Wedding Anniversary… thank you to all of them for making it so special.
The day of checking out Gregory packed us up a breakfast too .. ❤️
We would def return to this beautiful hotel.

A Gem in the central part of the Village..

Small, boutique, charming, opulent...Proprietor Laurent very professional, kind + talented. Rooms are smaller, but modern, 3 years old + very comfortable. Greg showed me how to properly prepare French scrambled eggs + omelet both mornings. Breakfast is yummy. Recommended highly...
