Exploring Bordeaux vineyards

Exceptional location with a beautiful and quiet landscape, hard to imagine Bordeaux is only a 20 km bike ride away. Loic and Diane have turned this Castle into something truly romantic, decorated with passion and talent.
I hIghly recommend it !

Like a movie set

Staying at Chateau Castelneau is living a fantasy. The storybook setting in the heart of the Bordeaux wine region prompts a sense of escape and indulgence. Sipping the Bordeaux Superieur more than verifies that fortune is smiling on you, as does the company of Diane and Loic, the warm and gracious hosts. For us, they were friends of friends, making our welcome even more special. We stayed two nights, charmed by the flair and history of the decor and by Diane's stories of raising her family here and now hosting successions of guests, including wedding parties. What a setting for a wedding! Treat yourself to a stay here. You want this in your storehouse of best vacation memories.

Queen for a Night

We arrived on my birthday and stayed for four nights. I felt like a princess and we were treated like royals by our hosts. For the minute we turned into the driveway, we were captured by the charms of the location and its history. Our room was beautiful and the night sky was full of stars. Magical indeed.
Be certain to try their wine. It is incredible. My only regret is that we forgot the six bottles we purchased and left them in the room as we packed up. So very sad.
This really was a special place with very delightful hosts. You are in for a treat.

Every cloud has a silver lining....

Our weekend trip to Bordeaux in September unexpectedly brought us to the doorstep of Chateau de Castelneau after a problem with the hotel we had originally booked (I had stupidly booked a hotel with the same name but in Paris!).
Despite the initial panic we managed to find two rooms at Chateau de Castelneau and what a fantastic place for us to end up. It’s surrounded by beautiful scenery and the inside has been restored to a very high standard. The bedrooms are all individually decorated with some amazing pieces of furniture and are incredibly comfortable. It's so quiet it's impossible not to have a great nights sleep.
Diane went above and beyond to accommodate us and help us in every way she could including giving us a sampler of her delicious wine. She really was our knight in shining armour - considering we ended up in the countryside without a car, she helped us get everywhere we needed. Thank you Diane!
We’ll definitely be back next year!

Loïc, his castel and his story is the best way to experience the wonderfull

There are so many guides for the Bordeaux region, so many castles, and beautiful villages to explore, so many people to talk to and knowledgeable guides to listen to. A region where water is transformed into incredibly good wine.
...and there is Loïc de Roquefeuil. He will tell you about the amazing long history of this place, introduce you to his fantastic wines, explain every piece of furniture (when you ask and my recommendation is to ask - there is so much history). As a wine lover, it is always fascinating to meet people who understand more and feed your love. Loïc is the best guide to the wine and the region that breeds it. His family castle the perfect spot to explore the region.
