Very good hotel

Very good...good breakfast...beautiful pool.. very friendly boss.. pity because the Inn will transform from cottage...but have very quickly try it....we are stephanese.gardois origin.so always delighted to return

very nice place but many improvements to consider

Pension is well placed, beautiful view, very nice pool, the boss is charming!
On the other hand big downside on the boss who is downright unpleasant , even by phone when booking , it is unacceptable!!! I booked and paid by CB on the phone and surprised not to have received a confirmation by email, I called back and this mr said: I have something else to do than confirm the reservations!
This mr should also specify that there are many stairs from his Pension because a person who has difficulty in climbing , will never reach his room!
Flat also on the rooms; very old bathroom, very small plastic shower head as we do from the 60s! the bed is excellent, (it is important) but we are entitled to blankets as before ...
In short, a young man is needed and the Pension is worth it because it has undeniable assets!

Spacious accommodations in an historic setting

Housed in a cluster of old stone buildings set on a hillside above Saint Victor de Malcap, this is an ideal place to stay while exploring the historic regions of the Gard and nearby Cevennes and Ardeche.
The rooms are well-appointed and spacious. Ours was a last minute visit and we were more than happy to find such a great place with so little notice. It is likely we would not have been so fortunate later in the season.
The breakfast was quite good and the staff friendly and knowledgable about the area which is rich in history.

Hotel is Ok (not easy to find though): nice view, room Ok, bathroom needs refreshing, pool area satisfactory. Restaurant should definitely be avoided (much too expensive, little choice, not adapted for kids). Internet barely accessible.

Missed opportunities

Nice location and good facilities. If only the pool would not be closed daily from 19:30 - 10:00! What an unpleasant surprise at our arrival! Dinner was good but breakfast below expectation/standard with the very old fashioned bread with jam only.
