With a group of about thirty people, I would like to highlight the excellent welcome, courtesy, and politeness of the staff, as well as the high quality of the accommodation and meals.

A very beautiful discovery

a very beautiful discovery, we really liked this hotel: nicely renovated rooms, spacious (even the standard ones), very comfortable, and very clean. We dined at the hotel restaurant, which is also very good.
We will definitely return there.

Relaxing stay

Wonderful few days in comfortable hotel, with spa and swimming pool all as described. Excellent food, charming traditional village with terrific views, and lots of walking opportunities. Really relaxing and enjoyable. Thanks to all the staff.

Great comfortable hotel to access the Col de Néronne and Puy Mary.

We arrived in Salers driving from Aubusson via Mont-Dore and Besse. We were permitted to park right next to the hotel in a secure area accessible via a boom gate. Our room was located on the first floor and it had a very pretty view of the medieval town from the window. The bathroom had the largest shower that we've had so far in France. The Receptionist was very helpful in advising us to utilise the bus service, La Region, which was operating from just across the road from the hotel, to ascend the volcanic mountains towards the Col de Néronne, where we stopped from five minutes, and Puy Mary, both of which are included in stages of the Tour de France. Thank goodness, we were not doing the driving as the hairpin bends and turns were hair-raising, but very exciting to see. In the afternoon, we could hear a brass band playing and went out to the main square to watch a young, spirited, energetic band of about 30 musicians from Lyon entertaining the crowd. They were having such fun, jumping up and down, dancing and singing and they played for over an hour. It was fantastic to watch them. We had a great night's sleep and a very generous breakfast the next morning.
