Fantastic small hotel in a great location

Stayed for 3 nights in a family room on the second floor. One big double bed and a smallish but comfy sofa bed, which was just about ok for our kids (9 & 12).
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and with plenty of options for all the family.
Location is lovely, very peaceful and only a 5 min drive or 10 min bike to the beach.

A brasserie at the price of a high-end restaurant

A menu that claims to be Japanese, but simply calling basic sushi you find at a Leclerc supermarket "onigiri" isn't enough to make them high-quality products. Very high prices (€7 for a carafe of sparkling water on-site, €15 for a non-alcoholic Spritz) that drive the bill up to €60 per person without wine, especially since five aperitifs were charged for four served. It remains a pleasant setting with very friendly staff, but unfortunately the cuisine is a bit outdated (an hour wait before the first dish arrived) even though only about ten tables were occupied.

A very relaxing hotel

A very nice stay in this calm hotel amidst the pines. The reception and service are professional and always smiling. The room is very comfortable and modern. No issues with the restaurant, very large garden with a lovely pool.
Everything in this hotel encourages relaxation in a vacation spirit. To do.

The unkindness of the people here.

My 3 friends are playing golf at the golf club. And I was booked at the spa for a body treatment. When I was at the 70 Hectares reception , I released my spa appointment was at their other location. Same hotel group. It’s only 3 km away by the l’Etang.
So I asked if I could take a taxi to go there. The receptionists appeared annoyed but gave me a postcard of their hotel. Seeing that they do not want to help me get a taxi , and I do understand sometimes hotel receptionists are not obligated to help anyone , I called the taxi. Luckily the taxi drivers speak fairly good English. However while I am calling , the receptionist asked me to go outside the hotel lobby to make the call. Apparently I was too noisy and there was a meeting in the lobby.
I have never felt the opposite of hospitality like I did. Is this the kind of hospitality in this region of the Landes ? A single woman , a traveller , a patron of the hotel spa , someone whose main language is not French. Is this what your region is about ?

What you describe does not reflect the welcoming spirit we strive to offer. However, as mentionned, a meeting lead by our guests privatizing the hotel occured in the lobby at the time you were at the front desk. That is the reason why our team asked you to speak a little more quietly. The way of doing it was maybe not the right way to do it and I apologize for that. Your comments have been shared with the team so we can better support our external guests in the future.
