Quirky Shabby Chic Kinda B&B... A French Experience????
Veyrier-Du-Lac
Place in itself was easy to find on the main road. just down the road from a bunch of mini shops…. lakeside popular area…
Host was not around, so we parked up went into the property knocked on the door, then went in gave a shout out but no response.
Then rang the Hosts mobile she said to return Later supposedly during opening hour...
The host herself seemed pleasant, she was just about able to communicate in English.
Room was a bit of a shock to our system, it was very basic, shabby chic style i think they were going for the dated look… Bed was creeky to even lean on...
Lucky it was only me and the hubby coz The Shower cubicle and sink was in the room itself no partitioning… you can brush your teeth from sitting on the bed…
Small toilet was down in the hallway to be shared with guests in other rooms, not ideal for the middle of the night, No Wash basin in the toilet either... Yuck! Thank the lord for hand wipes which we carry whilst travelling. Lucky we had only booked for one night.
Breakfast was offered at extra cost which we declined as we were going to head off into the town centre in the morning anyway.
She started vacuuming at 8am banging the doors etc… check out was not until 11am….
We had a side room one window opened up to a lovely view of the lake and the other window to the side of the road which was fine for us...
unfortunately there was No balcony as initially advertised for our booked room
On the plus side there is a parking terrace.
Compared to other hotels we booked this was expensive taking into account it was August and they had an event going on in Annecy at the time...
Overall ok if the room was ensuite with own toilet not shared and out of the room... and less dust and more smiles…

The Good place, The Bad Isolation and The Ugly Net.
the traditional morrocan B&B pita breakfast, it's nice at first, but as your following days chase you the breakfast is getting old.
The location is so isolated
The room is average no sockets. No towel. And soap in shower is filled with cheap hand-wash.
THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL YOUR DEVICES ARE USELESS UNLESS YOU BROUGHT YOUR OWN RADIO WITH ITUNES OR SPOTIFY.
