Service was disappointing. Front desk and sales staff need hospitality training.
1. Booking of the event hall takes place in reception area standing all the time which is very uncomfortable. During the booking of event hall staff didn’t explain the most important terms and conditions of the event venue. They just hand in a very long fine prints of the contract that I should sign. So I read it first standing in the reception area.
2. Room booking was not explained completely. I booked a junior room on the 1st night the availed the free deluxe room on the 2nd night that comes from the event venue. Days before I made sure to them that I will use the same room for 2 nights so that I dont have to transfer room given that I have many things for the event. However the front desk did not explain that I need to check out because the room I booked on the 1st night(junior) is not the same for the 2nd night (deluxe). They told me on the day of the event that I need to check out 11am or else they will charge a late check out fee until the next check in time 3pm. Can you imagine that kind of hassle? So I get no choice but to charge the late check out fee 4hours.
3. Then they didn’t also explain that we have a free breakfast on the 1st day. Also on the 2nd day if I didn’t ask if we have free breakfast also I wouldn’t find out that none.
4. I have a package delivered on the front desk but they didn’t informed me, delivered it to my room or even hand it to me during check out. They just told me a day after check out. It’s very frustrating because i need to come back and travel long because Im coming from out of town.
6. The very frustrating part is the claiming of security deposit check of ₱20,000 because they will not refund after the event. They will refund via check and it will take 1-2 weeks to release and should personally claim it. They won’t allow online or bank deposit. It’s 2025 now they should make use of the technology. What if the guest is living abroad or outside of Negros it would be annoying to send someone on behalf especially if living far from the city. They also didn’t explain during the booking that the check will be pick-up in the main office not in the hotel, the worst is that its only claimable during weekdays 3-4 PM only.
The management doesn’t care about the convenience of their guests. I need to be angry and beg before they release my check into my convenient time.
Also front desk and sales need more hospitality training.
