Your home in Uptown CDO

Uptown Condotel is a good choice for travellers exploring Uptown CDO. You can experience a five star hotel treatment from their amenities such as beds and bathtub. The hotel staff are very accommodating and friendly. I’ts more or less 3 min drive from SM City Cagayan de Oro, and the hotel itself has a coffee shop (although I’m not able to try it). Jollibee and convenience stores are just walking distance.

Drab, boring place.

First time staying in this part of CDO and it was really boring with not much too do.
This is an aprthotel cant be classified as a hotel, we had an apartment that was very clean, has a full kitchen but the microwave did not work and i did not try the convection heater.
Downstairs breakfast is offered in the morning which is a standard small Filipino breakfast, the strange thing about it was the staff could not understand what a black coffee was, each day they gave us something different

Home away from home...

It was my third time to visit Cagayan de Oro and stayed here in Uptown Condotel with my family. The place was nice, clean and it feels like we were in our own home. All the staff were very attentive and accommodating to all our requests and needs. Keep it up! Thank you.

Good enough but definitely has room for improvement

The condo part of condotel became more clear when we checked-in and found a unit with a loft (basically a second floor and not a mezzanine). The units we booked were good for long stays as it had a kitchen, cookware and utensils. The comfort room being in the ground floor made it inconvenient (definitely not for seniors and those with young children). The front desk staff and guards were helpful. Internet was okay but breakfast options were limited.

Stay away!

Over ten years I have come to trust most of ten reviews and ratings I see on Trip Advisor, but the Uptown Condotel 4 star rating is a bad joke!
This is an old, worn out, somewhat dirty and smelly hotel with horrible service. The rooms are in sore need of upgrading and repair and nothing really works as it should. the amenities are essentially non- existence. This 4-star hotel provides a coin size soap, a cheap toothbrush and a dab of toothpaste in their luxury suites- nothing else! No water, no coffee, no Matt’s in ten bathroom or floors, but a few cockroaches in the room are complementary! Oh- yes- they also, for some mysterious reason, provide only one key to the room and if a second guest wants to go in and out they must be accompanied by a hotel security to get in their own room!! The restaurant also enjoys the same low standards starting with a glass entrance which I saw at least two people crashed into due to lack of proper marking of the door and the fixed glass. The food, service and atmosphere follow accordingly.
So in conclusion, I ask again- who comes up with these glowing reviews and am I in the wrong hotel?
