Good location

It was near restaurants, pharmacies, groceries and other stores. Amenities are pretty much straightforward. The staff are friendly and catered to our needs. There's not much variety for breakfast but it's enough if you're not picky.

Central location

Centrally located, it is within walking distance to the jeepney terminal, Grand Tours vans terminal, public market etc.
I stayed one night in an average size room. The aircon, hot water, TV, fridge, lighting all worked okay. There was storage for clothes.
My only negative was seeing two cockroaches in my room. One disappeared in to a crack in the wall. The other disappeared under the bed. About 20-30 minutes the one under the bed decided to join me in bed. Freaked me out. He escaped once more. I hate cockroaches.
The restaurant was down a Cook but some meals were available to hotel guests which I was thankful for.
Cockroaches aside, I had no other concerns with staying here.

We are sorry to hear this experience. But it is regular for our housekeeping to spray insecticides when rooms are empty after it is cleaned up. Since we don’t prohibit guests to bring in their foods inside the rooms, this is the only logical reason why roaches persist. Cleanliness is one of our major concerns for the well being of our guests’ stay. Rest assured of our continued efforts to avoid similar scenario in the future. Thank you for calling our attention.

I've never seen worse!!!

I've been traveling through Catarman en route to Biri Island now for over 20 years. It's really not much of a town and the accommodations there are dicey at best. I've stayed at most of them from GV to Pink City, Sasa etc. with mixed results. I attempted to check in a couple of days ago at Diamond. I have honestly never seen such cramped run down rooms. The room we were offered had no hot water, a filthy broken toilet and was so disgusting that we demanded our money back. I was shown on other room for which I was quoted 2500 pesos per night. It was equally cramped and had no windows. The cheap foam pad mattresses were thin and worn out. To top it off, the man at the desk was unbelievably rude. When we decided to look elsewhere, he lost his temper telling us that we were banned and not to come back. No worries. We never will and neither should you!!!

Hey Mr. Adams, you sound like a nagging woman! You wanted a better accommodation and yet you can only afford an economy room! Despite being offered our standard rooms you insisted the cheaper ones which we showed you. You're a hot head who thinks you are always superior than Filipinos? Not in our hotel man! You're right! After you pooed in our toilet and cancelling your reservation you are forever banned!

SHINE!!!!

Excellent hotel with excellent location, extremely clean & comfortable . Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff ,They makes our trip more interesting with her advices & tips about the supermarket ,shops,restaurants bars are within walking distance. Would definetely recommend this hotel to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again for going just that little step extra for the guests!!!

nice rooms but bad service

So this hotel is owned and manage by a small family. Father, mother and one daughter. The three of them work alternatively as the waitress/waiter and receptionist. What I dislike is that they don't hire someone to be the receptionist which sucks because there is always no one at the reception desk so if I need something or have concerns, I'd have to go down just to talk to them. They mostly stay at the restaurant and no one's at the reception so you really have to go down to the 1st floor which is an exhausting disadvantage if your room is on the 4th or 3rd floor. And also the mother is noisy. I heard her shout numerous times. I've stayed here for 4 times already and in those 4 times, I hear her shouting twice.

It's good to hear your concerns. The hotel's recruitment for a receptionist is on going. But it's not easy to get a qualified one. I hope when you come back, a legitimate receptionist is hired already.
