Great stay
We stayed at this hotel for three days, and it was absolutely worth it. It’s perfect for budget-friendly travelers and family travel, yet they still deliver excellent service and well-maintained facilities. The pool is great considering the price, and the complimentary breakfast offers a variety of options. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel.

Book somewhere else!
We stayed at this hotel for a total of six days and were unfortunately disappointed throughout the entire stay. We had originally booked only three nights, but since we were there during the high season and waited too long to look for another place, we had to extend for three more nights. Even though we had already noticed several issues, we honestly didn’t feel like packing everything and moving somewhere else, especially because there were hardly any decent alternatives left in the area. When we asked to book the same room again—the exact same one we previously paid 30 euros per night for—the price suddenly jumped to 47 euros. Nothing about the room had changed, and it was obvious that they knew how hard it is to find a place during peak season. It felt very much like a “take it or leave it” situation.
The overall condition of the hotel appeared worn-down, greasy, and uncared for. Our room wasn’t truly clean, the paint was peeling in several spots, and the pictures on the wall were hanging crooked. Everything felt outdated and neglected, which absolutely does not match the price they are charging. The hotel claims to have received an award in 2016, but it seems as though hardly anything has been improved since then.
Service also left a lot to be desired. We had to ask for new towels twice because the ones we were given were dirty. Many of the staff were friendly, but the woman who seemed to be the manager or owner always looked annoyed whenever we brought up an issue. We also rented a scooter through the hotel, and the headlight was broken. Judging by their reaction, they already knew about this. They did give us another scooter, but even that one had a very weak light—barely usable, especially at night, and definitely not safe.
During our stay, the hotel was having a new roof built, which meant daily construction noise. This was particularly unpleasant during breakfast, when you could hear the grinder non-stop. Later, we discovered by coincidence that there was a much quieter breakfast area on the other side of the property, but no one ever pointed this out to us. It also never occurred to anyone to simply ask the workers to start after breakfast hours, which would have been an easy solution.
The air conditioner in our room was extremely loud, to the point where sleeping with it on was nearly impossible. Without it, however, it was too hot to sleep at all. Combined with the lack of available alternatives due to high season, this made the whole stay even more frustrating.
Breakfast was hit-or-miss. The pancakes were usually good, but there were times when they were burned (as shown in the photo). The coffee and orange juice were instant powder drinks and honestly not worth having. And to be clear: we fully understand that you can’t expect miracles at this price range. But clean towels and pancakes that aren’t burned should be a basic standard anywhere.
In the end, the negative aspects clearly outweighed the positive ones. For what the hotel offers, it is simply too expensive, and many of the issues could be fixed with minimal effort. Unfortunately, it seems like there is little interest in improving the guest experience.
My recommendation: book somewhere else.

Welcoming & relaxing
We arrived at St John's exhausted from a 3d2n expedition. We were welcomed with a cool drink & cool pool. The place has a lovely, quirky ambience. The room was clean and functional & the free breakfast varied and delicious. The staff were accommodating and friendly & fixed us up with a reasonably priced door to door van to San Vicente.

This is our first trip in Palawan with family. We stayed here for three days and two nights. The location is too far from the city we always rent a tricycle which cost 100 pesos one way and maximum of 4 passengers but we had a beautiful stay here. The rooms are affordable and very clean. We had a free breakfast also and this was well presented and plenty of choice. The people are very kind and friendly.

I am very grateful to their staff here, they are very kind and diligent and they are very attentive to us and their other guests. even early in the morning if you need something, they will give it to you right away, and especially on the birthday of one of our friends, they even made an effort to design a happy birthday on the wall, they even printed a picture. I will come back to this hotel when I come back to El Nido Palawan. thank you very much especially to Sir Jhay and Mam Chubby hehe I forgot his name. thank you so much!!! ❤️ Highly recommended!!!!!! 💯💯💯💯✨
