Nice place to stay for short days

Iloilo Grand Hotel is a place to be if you just want to stay in Iloilo for a short tour or visit. The service is genuine and predictable. There is a small gym and a cool spa. In just few walks away you can already reach a university, the city market, a Robinsons mall, and the city hall.

Standard stay, not grand; weak A/C, basic bathroom, and food needs improvement.

The name promises more than it delivers — it’s standard, not grand. The air conditioning was weak, the bathroom basic, and the food could use serious improvement. A stay that’s okay for essentials, but don’t expect anything upscale. As I’ve said it’s not really grand

Disappointing Experience That Could’ve Been Handled Better

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share our recent dining experience in hopes that the team can learn and improve.
Unfortunately, our visit was far from enjoyable. It took nearly an hour for our food to be served, and when it finally arrived, it was already cold. For the price point, we expected better service and quality — and cold food after such a long wait just didn’t justify the cost.
What made it more frustrating was the complete lack of communication. No one approached us to inform us of the delay or provide any updates. Even a simple heads-up could have helped manage our expectations. It would’ve made a big difference to at least feel seen and considered while waiting.
They did eventually offer complimentary drinks, but even those came more than 30 minutes into the wait. Later, they also gave a complimentary slice of cake, which I genuinely appreciated — it was a kind gesture and helped end the meal on a slightly better note.
Still, the overall experience was disappointing. What could’ve made this better was simply better communication. If there’s an issue in the kitchen or unexpected delays, letting guests know upfront makes a world of difference.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively, because there’s potential here — but the way situations like this are handled makes all the difference between a forgettable visit and one that builds loyalty. Hoping to see improvements moving forward.

Just a place to sleep but will never go back

The name "Grand" doesn't fit the overall appearance of the hotel. It looks outdated. It's just a good place to sleep. I was given a room far from the elevator. The hallway was really creepy at night. No bidet and need to flush the toilet multiple times before it works. To be fair the room is clean. People are accommodating too. You get what you pay when it comes to the overall quality, but given a chance to rank the budget hotels in Iloilo. This will never be on top.

Just average

I arrived almost 9 pm in the evening,the guard told me that they are fully booked.I told him that I have reservation and I should talk to the front desk. The front desk assist my check in and shes nice and accommodating .
A lot to improve on their facilities :
1. Limited electrical outlets
2. No towels provided
3. Lacks shampoo and toothbrush as amenities
4. No bidet( I called 3x to follow up my request ''tabo'' or small dipper .
5. I suggest to apply air purifier .
