This is a local mom-and-pop hotel in Condado, very close to the beach but not on the beach! I’ve been staying here for over 20 years, and they’re improving and renovating every year, including the rooftop area and the cafe at the entrance. I don’t spend much time in the room so it’s perfect for me all I require is WiFi, AC, and a TV and I’m good. The staff is super friendly and accommodating.

While the hotel was close to the beach, it was not was expected nor what the pictures showed.
Negative: There was no beach view from the room. Most of the noises outside down on the street you could hear in the room even with the A/C on. The entire hotel was outdated, hallways smelled musty/old and the rooms are NOT as nice as what the pictures showed online. There was no pool, no parking onsite (there are 3-4 spaces on the street marked white which you can park at but this is always full with everyone at the beach. The door into the room was coming apart and to get in, they gave you a physical key with a tag with your room# on it. The room had two beds that were on wheels so they moved easily and the curtains were stained/looked dirty that hung above the beds.
Good: Wi-Fi, Water pressure (shower), hot water, cold A/C, DirectTV and the staff was very nice.
This hotel was NOT worth the $150/night. It might be worth $60-75 night.

The staff was very helpful and nice
Real close to the beach
No on site parking was the only thing we did not like
Had payable parking a couple blocks away, put with my back healing from surgery it made it hard

Sandy Beach Hotel

This hotel needs to be imploded and rebuilt. The pictures are just a facade. As the saying goes you get what you pay for. The only good thing was Ms. Dianne the desk clerk was professional and hospitable. The air condition system worked perfectly. This property is just for an overnight stay. I had an issue with the toilet in which it did not flush because there was no chain attached. I reported it to the front desk clerk and it was still the same way when I returned from an outing. The bathroom is for a very short person. If you have a rental there is no parking, however you can park across the street at the Marriott hotel parking lot for $26 a day.

The hotel staff was great, any concerns or questions I had they were helpful. My room was ok, I had a double occupancy bed room with two queens , which was basic nothing fancy. The walls throughout the room were dirty, including the towels and the bedding. My tv remote wasn’t working, the front staff tried to fix the problem but they were unable to. So I was unable to use the tv but that wasn’t a big deal. My room was supposed to have a mini fridge and unfortunately it did not, there was also no Free continental breakfast, all they had was the little cafe (you had to pay) attached to the hotel with a rude staff. It’s a budget friendly hotel with a great location and that’s pretty much it. I was disappointed by the misinformation they advertised. I personally won’t be staying here again.
