Great stay. Wonderful hotel. Laila absolutely delivered
Wonderful Family Stay at Rixos Qetaifan Island Doha
We had a fantastic 4-night stay at Rixos Qetaifan Island Doha with my wife and our 14-year-old son, and overall it was a memorable experience for the whole family.
The hotel itself is fantastic, with excellent amenities and plenty to keep everyone entertained. A particular highlight was the complimentary access to Meryal Waterpark, which is a huge bonus. The tower at the end of the waterpark is an absolute must — the drop slides are incredible and, in my opinion, some of the best in the world! Just be aware that the waterpark is closed on Mondays and Wednesday is ladies-only day.
We also ate at Diego Jun Steakhouse twice, and I have to give a special shout-out to Ahsaan. He was brilliant with me and my family — incredibly attentive, welcoming and professional, and he delivered on every front. His service really added to our experience.
Another special mention has to go to Laila at the front desk. She was exceptional throughout our stay and went above and beyond to accommodate our every need. We had a couple of small issues during our visit, but Laila resolved them immediately and kept me updated via WhatsApp. Her customer service was outstanding and genuinely made a difference.
The food and drink options throughout the resort were also excellent. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all offered a great variety, and we particularly enjoyed the tea, cakes and sandwiches available in the lobby.
The all-inclusive package at the pool was another great touch, with drinks available on tap, including mojitos and hot drinks, as well as fruit, ice cream, popcorn and peanuts. There is also a food truck at certain times serving hot food such as burgers and quesadillas — perfect for keeping the family fuelled throughout the day.
The gym was a little disappointing, as only two of the three treadmills were working, and for a couple of days the cross trainer was also out of service. Hopefully this is something the hotel can address, as the rest of the facilities were excellent.
Overall, thank you to Rixos Qetaifan Island Doha for a fantastic and memorable family stay. From the incredible waterpark and food options to the outstanding service from people like Ahsaan and Laila, we had a wonderful time and would happily return. Highly recommended for a family holiday!

Loved it
The hotel is beautiful, the staff are great. The whole experience was amazing.
The staff are attentive and super friendly. Specially Suman and Seifeddin at the pool bar, and Kevin and the team at Turquoise, and the turkish chef, but I unfortunately didn't get his name.
The location is beautiful and the surrounding area is nice. Not far from Lusail and other stuff.
The room was comfortable and had a nice seaview. I thought the waterpark view would be noisy but it wasn't.
The all-inclusive deal was great value for money for a luxury hotel.
Loved everything about it, highly recommended for families.

Amazing Stay, Excellent Service & Relaxing Spa ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’m having a wonderful stay at Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North. The hotel is excellent, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the service has been great.
A special thank you to Dibali from the laundry service — she was extremely friendly, kind, and helpful, and provided excellent service.
The spa is also amazing! It’s very relaxing, clean, and professional, and all the staff there are highly professional and welcoming.
It’s a perfect place for families, while still being peaceful and relaxing for anyone who just wants to unwind and enjoy a beautiful stay. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Excellent holiday…
We stayed here for 9 nights all inclusive as a family From the UK inc a 12yr old. I’ll break down each area:
Reception- The staff are amazing, every single one of them, especially Ghazi at the front desk. The Lobby cafe bar has a good selection of drinks, cakes and sandwiches, service is pretty slow but it’s a very busy/noisy area with kids running riot and the parents not parenting. As it’s such a large area it echos and if your room is on the first floor facing the water park you can hear the noise in your room.
Rooms: spacious, clean and lovely aircon, the cleaning staff were very polite, and courteous.
Restaurant (Turquoise) staff are brilliant, very friendly and helpful, however, the food is the same every single day and not very hot, I appreciate we are in an Arab country but other than chicken nuggets and chips there isn’t anything for us fussy westerners to eat.
Diego Jun ( steak house) this was included complimentary for 3 visits, outstanding! Excellent staff, lovely food, highly recommend.
Pool area: this isn’t huge, but that’s because you have access to the water park, it’s fine, serves it purpose, the pool bar is good, staff excellent, serve alcohol from midday - enjoyed a few cocktails/beers here. There is a food truck which is also excellent, we ate there a few times, all fresh and tasty.
Waterpark; excellent, we have stayed at the Atlantis in Dubai and nothing beats that, but, this is good, lifeguards everywhere, very friendly, we never queued and the lazy river is a firm fave. Food isn’t included on AI but it’s not too badly priced. Water is free for hotel guests.
We decided to do a city tour, Ghazi organized this for us, our guide was called Jaylo, excellent, request him if you can he was brilliant, we saw some interesting places, our fave been Souk Waquif - we returned 2 evenings later to do some shopping, there is a lovely Italian there too which did amazing pizzas. We also visited the sports museum one afternoon to get out of the sun which was also excellent.
There isn’t much to do on a night, they have a lady playing the flute every night in the lobby but that’s it, so we got bored, we went a bar called G.O.A.T in Le Royal Meridian hotel which was a sports bar, was really good in there, good food too.
All in all we had an amazing holiday, Doha is an incredible place and we will definitely return, other than the water park I don’t think it’s amazing for kids so I don’t know if we would stay at this hotel again, mainly because of the food choice and lack of things to do on a night without getting a taxi somewhere.
