A jewelry in the middle of a therapeutic park
Second time in this hotel for treatments with my young son, we loved it so much, that we will come back for the third. Location is priceless, the rooms are clean, the staff are nice. Food is good too.
I see many bad comments about it, I think people missed the fact this hotel is a piece of art… 100 years old jewelry in the heart of the therapeutic park…

Easter Holiday
We stayed in an apartment at Hotel Palace Govora for the Easter holiday. It wasn't our first time here – we also spent Easter in 2022, and the great experience back then made us want to return this year.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, though the linen and towels were not in the best condition and could use an upgrade.
The hotel offers a great relaxation area with indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzi, massage, and medical treatments. We especially enjoyed the indoor heated pool, which we used daily – it truly enhanced our experience.
The Easter offer also included a guided trip to the Culele Măldărești and a visit to a traditional pottery workshop in Horezu, which added cultural value to our holiday and made it even more memorable.
The food was tasty and varied, and the Easter party at Casa Govoreană was a lovely touch: held in the open air, with live music and a warm, festive atmosphere.
Despite a few small inconveniences, we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We appreciate the consistency in service and the effort the hotel puts into making Easter special. We would definitely consider coming back again.

Nice spa, basic rooms

I stayed here for 2 nights. The room is not of 4*: the toilet was broken (nobody came to repair it), WC objects rusted and old, stale smell in the room .
Initialy the heating system was not working (they reccomended to use AC). Probably others complained as during the night they started the heating system.
Spa Center is nuce but still there are areas where they need to paint and repare. They have a nice list of services massages but only 2 ladies, so its big capacity you can olu book max 1 time per day. Hamam area was not working due to lack of personnel.
Good food, nice waiters.

Disappointing
If you want to waste 100 euros a day for nothing, go to this hotel.
A big disappointment. Mess in the room and in the bathroom (peeling plaster, mold everywhere, bad smell)
The windows are broken, pieces of wood keep falling out of them
The spa smells of mold and the floor is sticky
I don't think the windows have been washed for several years.
The beds make you feel like you are in the castle of horror.
The furniture in the room had swollen and dented veneer.
The refrigerator was placed in the cupboard and when it started it made a very loud noise.
The restaurant is a big joke. I served the meal on the evening of arrival and everything was reheated, nothing was done then on the spot.
Breakfast consists of the lowest quality products, Telemeaua was made of palm oil and dust, the salami was oxidized and dry. They had spinach and I don't think the spinach was washed because the sand was grinding between the teeth.
Initially we booked for 2 nights but after the first night we left. We moved to Rm Valcea to a hotel that can really be called a 4-star hotel. I recommend the Palace managers to sleep and see the dances in 4-star hotels how a real hotel should look.
