Great Stay!
We had a lovely stay in Sibiu at this historic building. We stayed 3 nights and used it as a base for day trips to Bran Castle, Braşov and Tarda.
Super clean and comfortable. The black out curtains are a plus. Super close to city center yet very quiet. Breakfast hit the spot with eggs and deli meats. Sirena was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. She had run out of black tea and ran out to pick some up.
I would definitely stay here again.

never again
- We arrived around 3 pm, and our room wasn't ready (Economy Twin Room, 24-26 June 2026, Sibiu).
- No elevator (the room was on the 3rd floor; this should be clearly stated when booking, as we didn't see it).
- Self check-in for a 4-star hotel??? And only one key card, even though we booked for two people. If one of us arrived first, they had to go down three flights of stairs to open the door for the other, because the entrance is locked and the key card is required for entry!!!
- The room smelled damp.
- Fluorescent lighting in the room and a light switch only in the entrance and bathroom; you had to get out of bed to turn it off. The lamp in the middle of the room didn't work.
- The mattress was too soft and not wide enough.
- A mini-fridge was just placed in a corner of the room; it was very noisy. Why wasn't it housed in a cabinet, as is usually the case? - The shower cubicle is ridiculously small; with the door closed, I couldn't bend down to wash my legs.
- Breakfast was poor (hot, just scrambled eggs), no sausages, no grilled bacon, the jam and butter were airplane-sized portions, limited bread and cheese selection, and only apples and no real juice
- When searching for the hotel, it was listed as having private parking (which we naively thought was included in the booking), but it costs €19 per day. We preferred to park in a city parking lot that costs €2.90 per day.
- The sauna and gym are only accessible part of the day, and are very poorly signposted. We only saw where they were located (in the basement) on the day we left.
This is the last time I book a 4-star hotel sight unseen without checking reviews.
When I pay 120 euros a night, I expect something significantly better.

Excellent
Location is perfect, 2 minutes walking to Big Square (Piata Mare), the parking could be the only issue in that area since it is super central, but we found a spot in the main street however, 8 minutes away by walking.
Rooms are spotless clean and modern, quiet despite the villa being in the city center, breakfast is diverse and good.
Great choice overall! Recommend!

Not great
This place is very close to one of the main squares.
It is not a hotel as if you arrive late, you are given a code to access a box with your key. No staff there, just a ‘phone number for emergencies.
Unfortunately we had one of the smallest rooms we have ever experienced on our travels. It really should have been a single, not a double. No room to put our bags so they were either on the bed or on the floor, constantly being moved to get to the bathroom or the door. The bed was pushed against the wall and on the wall was what I thought was a decorative tile. It was a red hot radiator. Very easy to get burnt sitting up in bed.
Breakfast was a choice of four omelettes and elderflower juice, no OJ.
There seemed to be a staff of one who seemed to be doing everything, hence the delay for breakfast bearing in mind there were only six people eating.
We only stayed one night. If it had been more we would have moved out.
This place is very much ‘design over substance’. Looks good but doesn’t work in practice.

Good but can be improve
Pro :
- Beautiful building, exceptionally placed, 3 minutes maximum from the centre of the city by walk.
- You get greeted by friendly and kind receptionist that sets a good mood for you after your long trip
- Private parking for the clients where you can leave you car safely. - The room was extremely huge (due to the fact that we took a suite), the bed was perfect for a relaxing sleep.
- Clean place.
In all honesty minor things can happen, like the tv from the room not working and one of the sink getting stuck.
Also the water had a light brownish color that disappeared when you would let the water run.
But I really have to mention that the receptionist was more than willing to help with all of the issues with a kind and positive attitude so don’t restrain yourself to ask for assistance if needed.
Breakfast ok and all in all a very relaxing and pleasant stay
P.S : this review had been modify after discussion with a manager from the hotel
