The Vanilla Hotel is fantastic, but be careful with restaurant

The Vanilla Hotel is fantastic—wonderful staff, a great breakfast, and overall a lovely experience. The restaurant in the hotel’s garden had good ingredients and a decent dinner. However, they switched our wine order—we asked for Romanian Sauvignon Blanc but were served a New Zealand one at triple the price. We felt quite disappointed. So, while I recommend the hotel wholeheartedly, I’d advise future guests to double-check their wine order at the restaurant. I really hope that was mistake caused by “lost in translation”

More than my expectations…

I had a lovely stay..my highlight was the dinner in the restaurant..tasty food and services as well as nice wines offered…I must mention the reception where there was no negative feedback when I wanted help and information…will return when I am in town again…it’s rated as a 3 star hotel my experience will offer a 5 stars rating all round..

French country flair

This is an amazingly beautiful and cozy hotel, with a French country flair. Everything is perfect, very good hygiene standards and extremely friendly staff. One feels home away from home in this charming hotel. The food is home made everyday, with the best ingredients and European sophistication. It's probably one of the best restaurants in Timisoara, which is very rare for a hotel restaurant.

Bib Gourmand level restaurant & great energy

We stopped for one night on the way to Croatia but during & after dinner we felt we should have booked more days here. Beautiful eclectic garden with beautiful energy. The food was .. delicious. Umami in most dishes culminating with lamb stew with rosemary potatoes which was out of this world. Deserts were also.. plenty and super tasty despite us not usually having deserts. An early dinner experience I would reccomend to foodies, not to mention that the wine list hides some great labels and years covering most demands. Zaalto glasses too so… chapeau! A piano too in the garden for those enjoying it.

The restaurant

We have been at the restaurant. It is in a beautiful garden, very nice for hot day.
We ordered risotto with shrimps and zucchini. It didn’t taste good at all.
All the other people from other tables had pizza, so maybe pizza is the right choice there.
