An absolutely magical stay at Cheval Blanc Seychelles.
I had some apprehensions before arriving due to some negative reviews, but the experience far exceeded all our expectations. Everything was just perfect... to the point that we even decided to extend our stay along the way — that’s how great we felt there.
A huge thank you to Brigitte and Juliana, our butlers, who were exceptional from start to finish: caring, discreet, always fair. They clearly made the difference and made our stay even more special.
Our beach villa was a real dream: spacious, perfectly located, with direct access to a beautiful beach. The calm is absolute, you feel disconnected immediately. The sea is splendid, very pleasant for swimming – a real joy, especially when you are looking for a “swimmable” place in Seychelles.
Spa treatments are also of high quality, at the height of the establishment.
In short, an exceptional place, both elegant, soothing and perfectly controlled. We leave conquered, and especially with the desire to return.

Non existent service
This is quite possibly the worst experience imaginable.
The resort is setup on a mountainside with substantial elevation. So the only way to get around is via club car. Want to go to the beach? Club car. The gym? Club car. From room to restaurant? club car. You have a personal butler which you can call any time to have the ride. That is… if they decide to show up at all.
We requested a car ride at 9:44 pm from the hotel restaurant back to the room. We received a response at 9:47pm. Then…. Nothing we waited… waited…. The guy never responded. We are stranded at restaurant for 30 minutes while being eaten by mosquitos.
We requested the customer experience manager, who came after 10 minutes. And there is nothing she can offer and wasted even more time. The upper manager is on the phone allegedly 20 minutes away and simply refuses to meet us today because she is to my interpretation- no on campus- and its too late.
The manager wants to come whenever she wants to come. Perhaps tomorrow. On her time. Not ours.
Either way. This is really bad service. They don’t respect time. They don’t respect us. They do what they want.
There is another review on this site which says the same thing.
Take your money elsewhere. Perhaps a resort which you can walk from resort to lobby. You can easily miss a sunset, or get stuck at a random location like the gym.

The management did not reach out to us the day after. Nor did anyone show up. Nor did they change the butler, who seems still missing.
Other things note: We booked 5 villas in total and the hotel pickup from the airport. Somehow the hotel car cannot fit all our guests. Good thing we had 2 other cars from an independent travel agency

A reunion after many years
We were on site many years ago at the banyan tree and also at the cheval blanc Maldives. So we were very excited about the newly opened cheval blanc on Mahe.
The architecture as well as the villa were stunning, very spacious and modern. The team and service were not yet well-rehearsed, the sea was unfortunately too undulating, and there were no water sports activities.

As usual with any Cheval Blanc property..
Impecable villas (barring a little metallic noise at night that I could not figure out where it came from) and really service minded staff. Great quality of F&B.
Sea it’s a bit rough this time of the year, but you can hire a taxi and go to beaches close by that are calm.
Pastry Chef Sami it’s a rockstar, great desserts and cakes and very much wanting to delight guests!
Worth coming back again!
