We had a lovely stay at The Standard, Singapore. The hotel has a quiet elegance and a refined atmosphere that feels both tasteful and understated.
The design is polished without excess, and the service is seamless and professional. Everything feels well-considered and effortlessly managed.

Had a wonderful stay at METT Singapore recently. The check in process was quick and easy and the staff sent via what’s app a list of suggestions on places to visit for sightseeing, eating and drinking. Hotel is close to the SMRT station

Our go-to hotel in Singapore—surrounded by beautiful greenery
In the middle of urban Singapore—where almost everything seems designed either to gleam, move efficiently or sell you something—METT Singapore sits quietly among the greenery of Fort Canning Park. For us, it has become a much-loved haven.
My wife, daughter and I recently spent seven days in one of the Deluxe Studio Suites. It was our second stay since the property became METT Singapore, although we had also stayed here in its previous incarnation as Hotel Fort Canning. So, this is not some fleeting holiday romance. We know the place, we love it, and we fully intend to keep coming back.
Much of that affection comes down to the people. From the housekeeping team to the very cool gentleman behind the bar, the service is consistently warm, thoughtful and genuine. A special mention must go to Robert Kazprazak, the Director of Operations, who has somehow managed to make every one of our stays at METT feel genuinely special—an increasingly rare talent in hospitality .
At Reception, Monirul deserves our sincere thanks, as does Syed, an ever-smiling and exceptionally helpful gentleman who appears constitutionally incapable of allowing a guest to struggle with anything alone. Both repeatedly went out of their way to assist us.
There is just one small quibble—and it really is a small one. Given the hotel’s stature and pricing, METT should consider offering a modest but much-needed 24-hour room-service menu. Surprisingly, there currently isn’t one. It is hardly a crisis—Grab delivers, and the hotel happily accepts food deliveries, so nobody is forced to forage in Fort Canning Park after midnight—but even a limited round-the-clock menu would complete the experience.
Thank you to the entire METT team for another wonderful stay. We are already looking forward to the next one.
