Great spring vacation family stay

Pleasant stay of 3 nights with kinds. Nice mountine style pension, spacious nice and clean family room equipped with carpet, was good for full family stay in 3rd floor so nobody above us :-). Staff was very kind, breakfast was super rich with real espresso machine ;-) and dinners tasty as choice of 3 meals day before. Beside this wellness (didn’t go), bowling, play room for small and big kids. 10min by car from Rohace- Spalena sky resort. Great value for money.

Beautiful nature, unfriendly receptionist

When we came to Zuberec, we were amazed by the breath-taking nature. The first dissapointment came very soon. We had to wait for the receptionist to come like fifteen minutes (with all our luggage, tired after the long journey from Bratislava). She did not explain why she was late, nor say "I am sorry you had to wait". Everytime we asked her for anything, she reacted like we were bothering her. We had to leave early on the day of our departure to catch the bus to Liptovský Mikuláš and asked the receptionist whether it ´s possible to have our breakfast sooner or to pack it with us. She replied, that it´s only possible if there is a larger grop of people and we can´t pack the breakfast with us, because we could be like other tourists, who took food for the whole day...
I reccomend this location because of its beautiful nature, but I do not reccomend this property. If you expect a friendly behaviour and responsiveness, choose a different one.

Nice and comfortable

The pension is large with additional buildings and facilities (outside as well as inside). Rooms are comfortable enough with all necessary furniture, there is a common balcony with chairs. The meals in the restaurants were good quality, nice variety for breakfast. The personal was a bit cold. I would recommend this place to my friend.

Staff at the restaurant was terrible

We just stopped by passing to have some food. On demand if we can do so, some indirect not welcoming reply came that we can. First sign of empty resraurant did not force us to think ddeper. But service afterwards was far worse. No kindness, willingness to recommend local specials or stnadrd food, treating us like aliens not customers even decreased impression of average food being junk. Be carefull seeing waiter ( the one with beard), rather do not step in.

Great for families

Great place to stay with a family. The place has a great playground, trampoline, some farm animals, playroom, game room, bowling, and more.
The hotel itself is nice. Rooms are smallish but comfortable. Besides with the beautiful Rohace setting you will not be spending much time indoors. There is a miriad of hikes and walks including some on paved roads suitable for strollers. Great place to bike too.
Hotel food is traditional simple Slovak food, but cooked very well. Staff is friendly. Overall we had a great time.
