A nice little affordable hotle in the heart of Colombo

Located on Messenger street, it is extremely accessible. Its just 4 kms (50 rupees by auto/tuk tuk) to Pettah area of Colombo. The hotel is adjacent to the legendary 'Sri Vani Vilas' hotel which is famous for their South Indian food specially dosa.
The rooms are nice small and comfortable. Not extremely luxorious but very comfy. Recommended for budget travellers and business.

Mediocre at Best

Decided to stay here for one night, wifi was advertised with booking. When we asked for password, we would told someone would bring it up to the room. They never did. When we returned to ask, they again said someone would bring it/call, and they never did. After the third time, we gave up. While I can understand the wifi not working/not existing, consistently lying to us, wasting our time, causing us to wait in the room was not appreciated in the slightest.

A good stay

The three star I had given only for the manager Mr.Sudhakar who is very friendly and arranging things for the customers..And the staffs also too good..otherwise nothing specific to mention it..the management should consider about renovating the rooms with some basic facilities..
the locality is very nearby to all the shops and transportation is very easy to go anywhere in Colombo..

Convenient for a short stay in Colombo (good food!)

comfort and facilities in comparison to the other places in Colombo was really fine. That was not the cheapest place, I would say average, but as for this price it was let's say rather clean and with good room facilities. No bugs for sure, but the dust in the room may be cleaned from time to time ;) Location is good however the district during the night is rather not very safe (especially for the single woman, luckily we were the couple so it was easiest ) but as we have noticed around that was a really safe option to stay for the good money. staff is very helpful, good english and easy to communicate. the biggest plus was the food there (room service till late evening), menu full of choice and for really good prices, delicious and all from the card we could have ordered (that was a surprise for us). If you like cheap local shopping the district is definitely for you. Hotel may organise for you the airport transfer (be careful on the traffic, that was incredible how long in the afternoon we have stucked in the traffic jam). Traditional breakfast in the room price was fine (do not expect the sandwich) you will try the local food :) Good direction to go to the international airport.
The balcony was there but the door to go outside were closed.
we have had a luxury room, and that was a good choice, as it was fine but not luxury. I believe the other rooms are smaller.
the building itself is very strange, rather old I will even say it's a peculiar hotel. our room was rather remote, with the window towards a courtyard, and in the whole hotel there were not many guests for sure.
that is a good place for a short stay, but for sure not for the luxury and relaxing holidays (as I would say the whole Colombo). If you need to have a stop over, very convenient.
for this price good value for money.

Moderate hotel

Centrally located and well connected to the important points of city.The food offered is good for South Indians.Rooms are just moderate .Ther is no swimming pool attached with the hotel .Recommended for a short stay.Rooms appear to be stuffy.With ac it is ok.
