No price quality
The only real plus of this hotel is the location. It is located just outside the busy centre of Ella, giving you a little more peace and quiet, while still staying a short distance from the centre.
Otherwise we were disappointed. There were problems with the pipes: both the shower and the sink were clogged and the bathroom constantly had an unpleasant sewer smell. The hotel offered us to change rooms, which we appreciate. However, we did not take advantage of that because we did not want to move all our luggage again. As compensation, the hotel did not charge our extra expenses during the stay, which we also appreciate.
In addition, the finish of the hotel is substandard. Although the hotel is still fairly new, the joints between the tiles are already dirty, which gives an unkempt impression. The wooden door of our room was already warped, causing a crack that was simply taped with painters tape. That looks unprofessional and detracts from the appearance of a new hotel.
Breakfast was also disappointing. You have to pay extra for a cappuccino, which you don’t expect in this price range and there wasn’t much variety either.
The pool is very small and there are few berths. Moreover, the hotel also allows external guests to use the swimming pool, making it even busier for paying hotel guests.
The rooms are poorly insulated. The walls are wafer-thin, so you can literally hear everything going on in the adjacent rooms. Finally, the curtains hardly darken, so the room is fully lit by 6.30am.
All in all we found this hotel too expensive for what it offers. While we appreciate that the staff tried to address our complaints, the many shortcomings weigh more heavily on us. With a few investments and more attention to finish, maintenance and comfort, the experience could be significantly better.

Lovely hotel.
Large modern room with a big balcony overlooking the valley. Bathroom was nice with a good shower. We did find the bed to hard for our liking. The pool is nice with a few deck chairs. Did not have dinner but breakfast had a good selection and the quality was good. Staff are young, keen and friendly. The driveway to the hotel is very steep, appeared most guests got collected at the top of the driveway by the Hotel. Overall a really nice place to stay.

Great hotel!
Beautiful spacious rooms with stunning views. Our cots were even opened in the evening. And our luggage and we were taken to the main street.
