Hidden Gem Surrounded by Nature
There are only two rooms on the property, so it's incredibly peaceful and private. The huge tropical garden is full trees and tropical plants, and you can often see monkeys, lizards, and many birds.
We always had the infinity pool overlooking the lake all to ourselves. Watching the sunrise and sunset there was simply beautiful.
A big thank to our host Chathuranga. He was friendly, helpful, arranged scooter rental for us and helped with anything we needed.
Breakfast was always fresh and delicious. Especially loved the fresh fruit smoothies, and every morning we had a little game trying to guess which fruit Chathuranga had used that day
The beach is just a short scooter or tuk-tuk ride away, and it's also very easy to get to the center of Hikkaduwa.
If you're looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy nature, this is the perfect place. We would definitely stay here again. ❤️

Our stay at Serendipity Lake Hotel was truly one of the most unforgettable and exceptional experiences of our entire 09-day honeymoon tour ❤️✨ Without a doubt, this was the BEST stay we had throughout our journey.
From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was absolutely outstanding. Every detail was handled with care, professionalism, and genuine warmth, making us feel welcomed, relaxed, and valued throughout our stay
A very special and heartfelt appreciation goes to Manager Lakmal, who is simply one of the best hospitality professionals we have ever met His kindness, friendly personality, and excellent customer care made a huge difference to our experience. He truly knows how to deal with customers perfectly and goes above and beyond to ensure guests are happy and comfortable at all times.
The entire villa was maintained in immaculate condition — extremely clean, tidy, peaceful, and beautifully organized ✨ Everything reflected high standards and great attention to detail.
One of the most magical parts of our stay was the incredible floating breakfast experience ️ It was beautifully arranged, romantic, and absolutely picture-perfect. The candlelight dinner was equally amazing ️ with a lovely atmosphere that made our honeymoon even more special and memorable.
The hotel also offers wonderful kayaking experiences ♂️ and relaxing spa facilities ♀️♂️, which added even more luxury and enjoyment to our honeymoon. The peaceful lake surroundings and calm atmosphere created the perfect romantic escape.
The ambiance, privacy, food, activities, and service all combined to create a truly luxurious and unforgettable stay ❤️ Every single moment spent there felt peaceful, romantic, and special.
