Amazing, magical and relaxing
Our stay at Shangri-La Hambantota was one of our favourite family holidays. We travelled with our six year old twins, and what stood out most was the genuine warmth and care shown by the team throughout our stay.
We especially want to thank Dhammike. The hotel was hosting a very large corporate group on the day we arrived, which initially affected our experience. However, the way he listened, responded, and handled our feedback completely changed the direction of the trip. He dealt with everything with professionalism, kindness, and genuine care, and we are very grateful.
A very special thank you as well to Tharindi, who was wonderful throughout our stay. She checked in on us daily, anticipated what we needed before we even asked, and always made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. She was a huge part of what made the holiday so easy and enjoyable.
The Chi Ayurveda Spa was another highlight. The Ayurveda doctor was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything without any pressure. The spa itself is beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect place to unwind.
Thank you as well to Nethmi from the social media team, who created such a lovely memory for our family. She dressed our twins in traditional Sri Lankan outfits, took us to the temple, and captured some beautiful family photographs. It was a thoughtful experience that we will always remember.
Alash made our aqua gym session an absolute laugh from start to finish. The energy was brilliant and everyone, adults and children alike, had a great time. The ladies at the kids club were equally fantastic and took wonderful care of our children. We also have to mention the team at the zip line. It was our twins' first time, and they were so patient and encouraging that the children have not stopped talking about it since.
A huge thank you to Uditha, the restaurant manager, who always greeted us with a smile and went out of his way to look after our family. From arranging soya milk for me to finding strawberries for our son, it was the small acts of kindness that made such a difference.
Mutha at the egg station also deserves a special mention. Every morning she greeted us warmly and served consistently perfect eggs, whether it was scrambled eggs, eggs Benedict, or a simple omelette. My family looked forward to seeing her each day.
Finally, compliments to the head chef and the entire culinary team. The food was consistently excellent throughout our stay. I have a very sensitive stomach and did not have a single issue during the holiday. Everything was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully prepared. The traditional Sri Lankan dinner on our final evening was a real highlight.
Thank you to everyone at Shangri-La Hambantota for making our holiday so special. We came home with wonderful memories and two children who are already asking when they can come back.

Good service
We had a good service. We stayed at premium ocean view room. The pool is also spacious and there are plenty of things to do for kids and a family.

Amazing service
Great experience staying at Shangri La specially the staff. Everyone was very helpful. Special mention to Ahshaf at the pool bar for making us the best drinks.

A Perfect Getaway with Exceptional Staff
I highly recommend Shangri-La Hambantota for anyone looking for a truly exceptional stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Although our rooms were not ready at check-in, the team went above and beyond by offering us a complimentary high tea and a late check-out, which made the extra wait extremely comfortable and enjoyable.
A special mention goes to Kanishka and the entire team at Bojunhala, the all-day dining restaurant. Their willingness to accommodate our requests made every dining experience memorable. The hospitality throughout the resort was outstanding, reflecting the high standards expected from a world-class luxury property.

Truly a five star experience
Great stay ,Rooms clean and well facilitated.Relaxing atmosphere with amazing food.Bojunhala staff is attentive especially Mr Indika Kodithuwakku,service manager.Especial shout out to Mr Akila and Mr Nilanga at Bojunhala.
The experience at Ulpatha the club house is one of a kind with its view.Especially the way Mr Milan is taking care of everyone is impressive. The cocktails made by Mr Lakshitha is top notch.
Overall the stay is a five star one
