Recommended!
Beautiful accommodation with beautiful spacious houses with a nice seat in front of it. Nice and quiet. It all looks like new. Nice pool and good WIFI everywhere. Staff are helpful, you just need to send an app and they will arrange your transport. Breakfast was good. We got a smootiebowl with fresh juice, pancakes and coffee/tea.
Recommended if you want to get away from the crowds. It is then easy to look up with tuktuk!

Perfect Value – An unforgettable stay at Simply Peace, Tangalle
We stayed as siblings in the Deluxe Bungalow with breakfast from 23.12.2024 to 27.12.2024 and can only say: It was a perfect stay! This hotel offers unbeatable value for money that convinces in every respect.
Already on arrival we were welcomed by an incredibly friendly and courteous team. Both the service staff, the housekeeping and the caretakers were always attentive and read every wish from our eyes. The staff radiates warmth and manages to create an atmosphere that makes your stay unique.
The accommodation itself is very well equipped, and the bungalow has offered us a great mix of comfort and local atmosphere. Breakfast was always fresh and delicious, and special requests were also taken into account.
During our stay, we have made use of the massage offers several times, which we can only recommend to every guest. Really professional and incredibly relaxing! In addition, we were also able to use services that go far beyond the usual hotel offer: For example, one of my Birkenstock sandals was repaired for just 1,000 LKR – a service that was both unexpected and outstanding.
The leisure facilities on site are fantastic. We did sports in the morning, swam and could even hire a personal yoga instructor on request – but we then abandoned it. Access to the private beach is a real highlight: The beach is clean, quiet and just beautiful. Excursions to nearby Hiriketiya Beach and Silent Beach are also highly recommended. Both beaches are great, but the hotel's own beach is in no way inferior to these.
We also took advantage of the laundry facilities, and our laundry was cleaned quickly and flawlessly – another plus of this hotel.
Compared to our previous stay in a very expensive luxury hotel in Bentota, which was also great, the Simply Peace is simply unbeatable in terms of value for money. Here you are offered more than you would expect for this price.
The only criticism – if you can even call it that – is the typical Sri Lankan bathroom doors. As is often the case in this country, there are no classic doors, but sliding doors. As a Western European, I would have liked a “real” door. Also missing is a coffee machine in the room, but the hotel makes up for this with its service: You can just grab a freshly brewed pot of coffee in the morning and take it with you – which also works wonderfully.
All in all, it was an all-round successful stay, and we can fully recommend the Simply Peace in Tangalle. Many thanks to the entire team for these unforgettable days. We will definitely be back!

“A Relaxing Getaway with Exceptional Hospitality”
We had a wonderful stay and would like to thank Suresh and his amazing team for making our time so special. From the moment we arrived, Suresh was incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming—always checking in to see if we needed anything and making sure we were comfortable.
The breakfast portions were very generous, and even any snacks or food we ordered came in large, satisfying portions, which we really appreciated. The hotel itself is lovely—the bungalows are spacious, beautifully designed, and perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
It’s a peaceful and serene place, ideal for anyone looking to take a break and enjoy some calm. We definitely recommend it and would love to return!

A perfect place to unwind
Simply Peace is a beautiful place to stay, it’s so relaxing and really enables you to switch off. It was exactly what we needed after a busy week exploring the Hill Country - it was a stunning pool to lie by for a few days and very comfortable, modern and spacious room. The beds are huge and the most comfortable we’ve experienced in Sri Lanka so far; the bathrooms are clean and modern with excellent showers and the room has A/C as well. We were amazed at the space we had - in addition to a huge room each bungalow has a terrace with sunbeds and a seating area, we were even able to have dinner delivered to eat on the terrace one evening.
The young staff are a credit to the hotel; so kind, polite and attentive without being overbearing - we felt really taken care of and in good company. The manager, Suresh, goes out of his way to care for and get to know his guests. We had a minor medical issue and Suresh was kind enough to organise a driver to get us to Colombo and back at an incredibly reasonable rate and spoke to the hospital on our behalf.
I had high expectations due to the good reviews but Simply Peace really does deserve them, it is a must if you’re visiting the South Coast.

lovely place
This is a beautiful, well kept place. Massive modern bungalows with great attention to detail. Nice touches like coconuts on check in, endless glass bottle water refills. Big comfortable bed, patio area with loungers, fridge, air con and fan, nice bathroom. Lovely big pool area overlooking a beautiful lagoon with lots of birds to watch. Sunset was stunning, followed by all the bats flying over, and then after dark so many fireflies. Breakfast and the curry we had for dinner was huge and delicious, although it would be nice to see more local Sri Lankan food on the menu. Staff are helpful and friendly. The 3 resident dogs are happy and friendly, and lots of langurs and monkeys run around sometimes too.
The beach is a 300m walk down a track to get to and it is a lovely big beach with small beach hut restaurants offering nice but expensive food considering they are basic huts (same price as the hotel restaurant).
You have to pay cash for the room and restaurant tab so we had to go and find an ATM. So make sure you bring plenty of cash. And it would be a 'simply peace' place if it was set up as adults only, then it would be perfect.
