A life changing experience

My husband and I were visiting Sri Lanka for our honeymoon. We had never been to Asia or stayed in a hostel before. My cousin recommended to stay at Roy’s after they had visited August 2025.
We stayed at Roy’s for 3 nights in a private room, and we loved every minute of it. We had never experienced the hostel life, and couldn’t believe how friendly everyone was- we felt like a big family. Nothing was ever too much for the staff at Roy’s- the activities were well organised for us- we did the bike ride, pidurangula rock, lion rock, minneriya elephant safari and the free cooking class!
The food was great, and it was the best Sri Lankan breakfast we had during our 2 week stay! The room was immaculate and we loved the shower with no roof. Our experience at Roy’s has changed our views completely on hostels, the staff were excellent and really make Roy’s the place it is- without them working as hard as they do it would not be the fabulous place it is!!

Amazing Stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Roys Villa! All the staff were genuinely very friendly, attentive, and helpful. They constantly asked if everything was alright and made us feel very comfortable. They were always very helpful and offered great suggestions whenever we had any questions or needed assistance with our travel plans.
Everything was very well organized and we didn't experience any problems during our stay. I particularly liked how clean everything was at all times.
We would like to thank the entire team for making our stay so wonderful and enjoyable. We highly recommend Roys Villa and would be happy to return!

Awesome stay - Awesome Vibes

We had a wonderful stay at Roy’s Villa. The property was beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax. Everything was clean, comfortable, and very well looked after, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hospitality was exceptional—the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help with anything we needed. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
One of the best parts of staying here was meeting so many amazing people along the way—it added so much to the whole experience. The tours they organized for us were fantastic, and the cooking class was such a highlight. It was fun, authentic, and such a memorable part of our trip. All of it truly added so much to our experience in Sigiriya and made our stay even more special.
A special shoutout to Sunny for being absolutely awesome—so friendly, helpful, and full of positive energy. He really made our experience even better. Thank you again to everyone at Roy’s Villa for such a memorable stay. We highly recommend it and would happily stay here again!

Suuuuper welcoming and delicious food

We got this restaurant tipped off by other visitors and they assured us: this is going to surprise you positively. And it did. What an atmosphere, conviviality and friendly staff. A super warm welcome and genuine interest. Also very kind to the children. You can choose a Family dinner. Then you eat along with the freshly grated curries (lots of choice!) and you get delicious rice or pancake with it. You can also participate in various activities here and everything is affordable! Highly recommended if you are around here!
