Amazing stay, highly recommend
The welcome is genuine and they want you to have the best time.
Anything is possible here, Anjula arranged a fabulous jeep tour of the local Eco Park, with great advice that currently that's where the elephants were, not Minneriya, where we'd planned. We had the best afternoon as he was correct, and it was half the price.
Nothing is too much trouble for the team, I wasn't sure the bed would be large enough, so before we arrived they had made another bed up in the room. In fact the bed was massive so it had to be taken away again!
The breakfasts are gorgeous, served upstairs with a stunning view of Lion Rock and the paddy fields.
Evening meals are delicious and extremely good value.
The room was clean and comfortable, the aircon worked very well. Bathroom good too.
WiFi worked well here too. One of the guests was doing her work here too, with online meetings.
Whilst we were there, for our 4 night trip, 3 other guests separately tried to extend their stays but they were pretty booked up. So when you've decided to book, bear this in mind!
The family invited us to sing along with them in the evening, plus play cricket with their sons in the afternoon. This was all friendly fun, but not pushy so don't think you have to join!
All in all, we loved our stay and were truly sorry to leave.

Budget hotel with upscale views and service. My fave in Sri Lanka
Great views of lion rock over the rice paddies (from hotel room too, 2nd floor)
Very nice family running the hotel (and a cute dog). Breakfast would change from day to day, and it was always very tasty.
Very close to the lion rock entrance (foreigners) and other services on the main road.
