Lovely hotel, though a little tired.
I just got back and I miss you. =) Tangalla is my second hotel, Sri is basically my fourth. But I would definitely come back here again! The hotel is very well located: immediately at the entrance (left) - a shop with fruit and water. From the entrance to the right (1 minute walk) - store format "shop at home" (groceries, shampoos/soap, office, etc.). The kayak lagoon is also a 15- to 20-minute walk along the main road to the right of the hotel. Alco is sold only in specialized shops (the nearest Wine schop in the center - 20 minutes walk or 3 minutes tuk-tuk ride), there is also a large supermarket, currency exchange in the Mysons market, pharmacies. There are plenty of cafes around the hotel for every taste and service, but wi-fi is rare. The noise of the ocean waves can be heard in the room and it is amazing!!! Cleaning on request, no shampoo/shower gel (only soap and toilet paper). Tea/coffee/cream and a couple of bottles of water will be brought if you are in your room (no drop-in without you). Weddings caught 2 times - both times guests separated at about 1800 - 2000, but to see it was very interesting!!! The elevator didn't see it - i.e. we take the luggage in/out by stairs. There's no Wi-Fi on the premises and no reception - just in the room. The beach is empty - just yours!!!! In general, ideal for those who want to be close to civilization but don't want the fuss and the noise.

A leisurely holiday for those tired of everything
Nice hotel. The coast is generally one of the best. Rooms are comfortable, clean, very necessary: TV, conder, refrigerator, kettle, bathroom hairdryer, shower. But from dip-and-soap only soap’’️. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk (all in bags) and 2 bottles of water are added daily. Towels and linen are clean, in good condition. Cleaning and change of linen on request. We leave the keys at the reception and then we'll clear out. On the ground floor, a restaurant very popular with locals. Almost every day it's a wedding, a birthday, a meeting. They don't go out until late, but they can start at 9:00 a.m. They took it without food because the price tag was much more expensive. Couple of times ordered at the hotel(can be brought anywhere) but the food is not so good, although the portions are huge. Eating next to each other, full of cafes. Or Yuli's at the Panorama Hotel, she's from Russia, it's definitely delicious, though not very cheap. Tangalle is such a moving village, there are no discos, but for that you can walk and flex on any beach. The ocean is gorgeous, the water is warm but the waves are strong. You can swim to the left, there are breakwaters. We'll definitely come back sometime.

Very nice staff
A hotel with a very nice staff and special housekeeping department.Beautifully hotel and garden.I love you sri lanka..

Make yourself the favor NOT to book this hotel.
We booked this property for our last days in the island. Writing this to explain that we already slept in many accommodations in the island (in total 14 nights)
This hotel was giving the option for Credit Card payment, plus was near beach and a HOTEL.
Well...
Room was ok but soundproofing is terrible.
Room was clean, but just the room. Every other place in this hotel was dirty and stayed dirty for our whole stay.
Are you thinking of booking breakfast?
Please DON'T!
VERY poor breakfast and it takes them 40'to bring you 4 toast bread.
Scrabbled eggs? Go buy yourself and cook it yourself.
They brought us coffee after we finished eating and after asking for it twice.
What a shame.
Our last experience in Sri Lanka to be this hotel.
Run away.

Getaway destination from city hussle
Its located in one of the most beautiful areas of Sri Lanka with magnificent sea view. When me and my wife arrived, we were impressed with quality of rooms for the money you spend. Do not think about that hotel as of 5 star luxury destination, no. However its very cozy and comfortable. Beach access with restaurant right on the shore looks beautiful. Staff team is friendly and smiles most of the times)
Breakfast could be better, because when it's included you have to select from set menu, which is very small. But service team was flexible with requests and tried to make our stay memorable. HK team was doing great job, these guys were surprising us with cleanliness every day. Lady on the reception deck was very polite and attentive to all our requests, helped us out with some tours around the area.
Overall, for the money you pay - its a very good place to spend you vacation.
