Unfriendly and not sincere!

This accommodation is not in order. It has several names, see also Marina safari resort Udawalawe and Paramount resort. As soon as there's a bad review, they change their name. Upon arrival we had to pay immediately. We get that, or we would have left. People are unkind, not a nice welcome. When walking around the back to the cottages it appears to be a neglected area. Anything you take, you'll get a bill right away that you have to pay. Breakfast is minimal, order everything slightly and also pay immediately.
Photos on Booking do not correspond to reality at all, they have been updated. Bathroom is outside and nice, only all pests are less. We didn't have that at other cottages.
Air conditioning is not working optimally.
In addition, the address is incorrect. So you can't check it through Google maps. The address it leads to is a lovely property.

The manager was unfriendly, and one of the staff members even chased our friend off the property.
The facilities were also not up to standard. The toilet was not properly installed, so when sitting on it, you had the feeling that you might fall off. The beds were extremely uncomfortable as well — basically just a mattress placed on a stone/concrete frame.
We left the accommodation even though we had already paid for our entire stay. Afterwards, the accommodation cancelled our reservation, even though we had already paid the full amount.

No safari, no overnight stay

We had booked a family room here more than six months before arrival as part of our tour of Sri Lanka. A day before arrival, the hotel contacted us asking what time we would arrive and what time we wanted the safari. Since we visited this hotel at the end of our tour (2.5 weeks) and we had already had two safaris we indicated that we wanted to use the hotel to relax and that our children were looking forward to a day at the pool. We were then informed that we were not welcome without booking a safari. This was nowhere in the hotel conditions or booking. We have therefore not visited this hotel.

Fine stay Eagle Safari Cottage

Fine cottage; different types of cottages.
We had booked on booking at eagle safari cottage, somewhere between booking and arrival the name was changed to Wild Eagle Safari Resort.
On arrival you have to pay immediately (unusual; normally it is on departure). There are some older cottages with verandas of corrugated iron and newer built in a point. The cottages are fine, spacious, clean, air con and a semi-outdoor shower where you have really beautiful views.
People mean well, but are still a bit unfriendly; asking a queer person for breakfast?? Is paying extra! Towel for swimming? Ooh tricky though!
Our family's booking was cancelled on booking while we were just staying there, so I can't leave a review. Something's not right about the way they do this.
But wouldn't need to, accommodation is fine, pool there and you are in the national park in 25 minutes.
