Super location - for spotters and non-spotters!
Great location with viewing deck and terrace overlooking the SXM runway at the spool-up/touchdown position. Apartments are simple in a Caribbean style, but have all you need and include air-conditioning and reliable wifi. Mid-position between the buzz of Maho Beach and the more tranquil expanse of beautiful beach at Simpson’s Bay. Only a 5 min walk to either. Flights finish in the early evening, so totally quiet and peaceful at night. Very user friendly and helpful host, arranged my car rental, with parking available on site.

Great location but disappointing accommodation
Back in 2017, Sint Maarten suffered a serious Category 5 storm that devastated the island and destroyed or damaged 90% of properties. Against this backdrop, one must make allowances for life not yet being back to normal, and much repair and restoration still being required. Spotters Paradise was affected, and I was ready to accept some rough edges, but really not enough effort is being put into bringing the accommodation up to standard. We were a party of six, occupying two rooms, and doing our own self-catering. The standard of cooking fascilities, including pots, pans and utensils, were limited and poor quality. We had to share them between rooms. In one room, the wardrobe door was jammed, due to swelling caused by water damage over two years early. It should have been fixed by now. There was no hot water in the taps (although, to be fair, the shower was warm and powerful). Beds were badly worn and uncomfortable. I wouldn't give the mattress to my dog to sleep on. During our 11-night stay, the room was not cleaned and bedding was not changed. The towels were changed once, at our insistance, under protest from the property manager, Eric. At no point did he ask us how we were getting on, or if we needed anything. When we ran out of toilet rolls, we went out and bought our own. Eric tried to make out that it was not a hotel, things were different in the Caribbean, and people were slow. No, Eric, you are just lazy. He did offer to drive us to the airport (5 minutes away) at the end of our stay, and in return for this favour expects customers to give him a good review. I'm afraid it doesn't work like that. You have to earn respect, not demand it. A shame, because the place could be good, with a little more care and effort. The location is great, next to the airport, with a balcony to watch planes taking off and landing. There are two lovely beaches just a few minutes walk away. Cafes, restaurants, shops and a supermarket are also within walking distance. Only the accommodation let down what was otherwise a great holiday. The one saving feature was free WiFi - Although signal reception could be a problem in some areas of the property.

Great host!
Eric was a great host. He took us around the island and to the best bars/restaurants without hesitation. We enjoyed our stay. I would love to have white sheets on the bed next visit though (: (my opinion)

Воздушное место!!!
Мы использовали Ст.Маартен как базовое место для посещения соседних карибских островов и несколько раз в течение двух недель осианавливались у Эрика в SXM Spotters Paradise. Фантастическое и необычное место! Данные аппартаменты расположены прямо у границы взлетно-посадочной полосы аэропорта Ст. Маартена. Мы вооружались специальным приложением, пивом и с балкона наблюдали за взлетом и посадкой самолетов! Конечно, это немного шумновато, но после 19:00 самолеты регулярных рейсов практически уже не летают. Такое расположение жилья является уникальным, по крайней мере, я за более чем 20 лет путешествий не останавливался в подобном месте. В 7 минутах ходьбы расположен легендарный пляж Махо, а с другой стороны пляж Симпсон Бэй с отелем, где можно позавтракать и полежать на пляже. За Махо расположен модный кластер отелей, ресторанов, магазинов и супермаркетов. Все необходимое для жизни в жилье есть, кондиционер хороший. Сам Эрик живет напротив и всегда был на связи и помогал в случае особых запросов или советов по Ст.Маартену. Наши наилучшие рекомендации! Обязательно вернемся сюда еще раз, т.к. нужно доисследовать Карибы, а это место нам очень понравилось, в том числе по соотношению цена-качество.

飛行機の写真を横から撮影するには、良い場所です。
滑走路沿いに更に200m程行くと着陸の飛行機を撮影出来るデッキがありました。このホテルの物では無いので、たまたま作業してた人に声をかけ、上がらせてもらいました。
オーナーは、とても親切です。
支払いは、事前にPayPalで支払いました。オーナーには、手数料引かれた金額で送金される為、その分を現地で、現金で支払いました。
食事は、マホビーチ横のスーパーで買い出しして、自炊しました。
